^It's the same one she wore with the grey dress a few days ago.

I actually prefer the Erdem dress with the belt. She has been looking lovely the last few outings especially the Matthew Williamson look, it's perfect for her.

The repeat dress is so so, and I kinda like the belt.

Excellent article in the FT by their fashion editor Vanessa Friedman:

And while her clothes have been entirely appropriate and often very nice, they have also been inconclusive. She looks great but unremarkable.
Before you take umbrage at this, consider: if you were asked to dress like the Duchess, what would you wear? Something with a waist/belt. Maybe a trench coat for day, or a draped jersey number. A little hat. Something long for evening, perhaps with a bit of sparkle or lace. Nothing too revealing. Nothing too glitzy. Tasteful.

Is that an influential way of dressing? No. It’s the refined version of middle-of-the-road. It’s wholly non-controversial. It’s dull. Do we really need a generation of “appropriate” young women?

That look with the Erdem dress is weird. You have the navy lace on the dress, the navy jacket, navy shoes and navy clutch and then a black belt. Its odd. Does this girl know about mixing colors? She always wears head to toe of one tone. And now she seems to be throwing in a clashing belt.

"we should expect more"... How pretentious.

No we need a generation of label whores who wear skimpy denim shorts and underwear as outerwear.

I honestly don't mind what she wears. I can't imagine how hard it is for her knowing that whatever she wears will be judged by everyone. She always dresses appropriately even if it her clothes are sometimes more suited to a 40 year old.

I would just love if she wore different shoes. Something a little more stylish now and then!! Those low heeled courts need to go in the bin!! I'll say it again, that woman has a fine head of hair! So shiny!!

I really like the article
I don't think this article is pretentious at all. What's the problem with wanting her to be more distinctive or at least show a little bit of personality in her clothing

I wasn't aware there was no middle ground.

I second Lacroix's comment wholeheartedly.

Squizree was being sarcastic.
