It's funny I thought Charlize didn't look that great. Not so much the dress, though it is a little predictable for an event like this, but more the hair and make up. Her hair's all pouffy... It's probably because I'm not a fan but she seems so bland.
Mandy Moore
Scarlett Johansson
Natalie Portman
Gemma Ward
Erin Wasson
Daria Werbowy
Claire Danes
I think they all dressed appropriately for their age...they aren't mature women, and their choices are fun and interesting. Natalia's dress was a bit boring and safe... and it didn't seem to fit well up top.
Other Favorites:
Stella Tennant
Charlize Theron
Stella McCartney
Sheryl Crow
Lauren DuPont
Liya Kebede
Amber Valletta and Anne Heche took the show theme a bit too far.
Lucy Liu could have broken out of the box a bit and not chosen the same old ruffled frock.
Jennifer Lopez was too mariachi...not enough glamour.
Naomi Watts and Sofia Coppola didn't seem to show an effort, but Marc Jacobs doesn't make gala dresses. And I didn't like Carine Roitfeld either...not enough pizazz.
And Renee needs to just stop...UGH!!!

Im surprised...i hardly like anthing that they're wearing.
I think Julianne Moore looks extra pale because her dress is so bright, JLo's hair looks identical to how Beyonce had hers (and neither of them look good with it!)
And maybe its just me but Charlize reminds me of Nicole Kidman there

I think Julianne, Mandy, Natalia, Charlize, Amber Valleta, Karolina, and Julianne look amazing. I agree with whoever said that they are inviting all these random people to such a high-class, high-profile event. Eva Mendes? Anne Heche? The Richard sisters ? Why? Would have still given my right arm to have been invited though.

I don't think of it as a big deal since Anna loves (and has been championing ever since) John so much and loves glamour and all and Carine knows what's "hot" each season and has a tendency to go minimal. It's more of fashion sense than city.
I saw part of it on TV (Television Española) ... I dunno why but ALL the dresses looked better on video/live that on those pics ... I agree with Loserunit, I kinda dig what Ms Heche wore (though ..no hubbie? I wud've definitively worn that accesory).
JLo and Carolina Herrera received high praises from the reporter .. though I didn't like the top that Mrs. Herrera wore ...
I was so eager to find out what Ms Wintour would wear ... twas OK.
