It probably just gets lighter in the summer due to the sunlight.

I've always assumed too that she dyes her hair because her colour simply doesn't look natural, but now that the discussion came up I actually looked at older pictures and it's quite clear when you go back to the first page of the thread. There's a candid pic from March 24, 2010 where her hair is still natural, and then there are candid pics from April 17, 2010 where it is light yellowish blonde already, so I guess that solves the myth

Yeah, she definitely dyes her hair. Though I loved her look in Somewhere, I still really like the lighter hair. She does look like she came out of a fairytale!

Was she really good in Super 8? I haven't seen it yet.

^Helena Bonham-Carter is the face of that campaign.
I don't think Elle is a part of Marc Jacobs. Dakota is the face of one of it's perfumes.

I believe Elle is a Rodarte girl.

yup, i think they're both faces for this year's campaign (both for F/W 11/12).
i knew it was weird she wore that runaway Marc from top to toe few weeks ago.

i personally think she's more of a Rodarte girl and that this is far too "serious" for her and considering how much "trouble" she has nowadays looking like a 13 year old person, don't think this helps (she looks like she's 20something in that pic), but what do i know...:dunno:

I totally agree with this! If I didn't know her age I would guess that she could be a model in her late teens, maybe even early twenties. I think Elle for Marc by Marc is a good idea, but they could have made her look more like the 13 year-old that she is. Dakota was the face of Marc by Marc a few years ago when she was very young, but you could tell she was really young. With Elle I don't think you can.

I'm still glad to see Elle doing the campaign, though... maybe there will be more images and she'll look her age in them.
