Though Canadian crooner Michael Bublé admitted he's usually a Hugo Boss kind of guy, he opted for a tuxedo by Calvin Klein in order to match girlfriend Emily Blunt's one-shoulder frock. Asked how he bides the time it takes for his girlfriend to get gorgeous, Bublé couldn't resist a little teasing. "Well, it actually takes her about twenty minutes to get ready, and I take a good six hours, my hair has to be just right, you know?" he deadpanned, before turning all romantic. "No, really, I just chill out and watch her," he said.

(LOS ANGELES) The devil may wear Prada, but for The Devil Wears Prada’s breakout star, Emily Blunt, it’s all about MaxMara. On Wednesday afternoon, the 24-year-old British actress and Golden Globe winner wore a curve-hugging chiffon LBD with a geometric neckline from the Italian line’s latest collection to the Sunset Towers, where she was honored by Women in Film, a foundation devoted to empowering women in the entertainment industry."MaxMara is a really wearable brand," said Blunt, "and I'm a pretty no-nonsense girl, so we're a very good match. I really like wearing their clothes."
The luncheon, co-hosted by MaxMara and WIF, was a prelude to next month’s Crystal + Lucy Awards, where Blunt will receive the MaxMara Face of the Future Award. MaxMara has been partnering up for the WIF awards in June in L.A. for years now—but last year initiated an award for an actress on the cusp of hugeness in her career. Last time around, the accolade went to Maria Bello, who also got a fashion layout shot by Robert Erdmann in MaxMara Magazine. And as if on cue, Bello burst into the luncheon, shrieking with delight upon spying Amy Brenneman. “We all did a movie together, The Jane Austen Book Club,” Brenneman explained before starting all over again as she spied co-star Kathy Baker in the crowd.
After WIF’s former president, Iris Grossman, delivered a rousing speech encouraging women to support each other, the guests tucked into roast chicken with polenta, and dark chocolate tarts for dessert. At the sight of the tarts, Gretchen Mol’s face lit up. “That’s what I’m craving,” sighed the model/actress, who is six months pregnant. “Well, that and a glass of wine.”
In what might have been a first for actresses, Blunt, who was introduced by WIF president Jane Fleming, later confided, “I feel rather embarrassed that this lunch is all about me, me, me.” Laughing, she added, “But I have had a real turning point this year, so the award seems aptly named.”
