I can not believe she's playing Fiona in the Shameless remake. I saw a clip and she had a nude scene. I thought "Wait, am I seeing innocent Emmy Rossum's tits?" I was a bit skeptical about the project, but William H. Macy and Allison Janney are in it.

^Well, she's hardly innocent anymore, especially since she did Dare. I'm glad she's getting roles that would be considered unusual for her. Hopefully it'll lead to more work.

^Well I do think Emmy is percieved as "innocent" in many ways because she played several "good girl" roles earier in her career and because her lifestyle is fairly tame compared to most celebs- she keeps her private life under wraps, and doesn't really go in for the drunken club hopping scene. But I think as an actress she's starting to break out of some of the "good girl" roles.

The nudity doesn't really shock me, because she's an actresses and many actors regard some nudity as part of the job. Emmy always said she'd do screen nudity as long as she felt it wasn't tasteless or unnecessary. I think that the series actually has a lot of potential given the strong cast, and the fact that it's on Showtime which as a good track record with TV shows and won't shy away from some of the more controversial elements.

She's an actress playing a role. It's not a reflection on her real personality. Doing nudity in a role is nothing to do with her innocence or otherwise. I'm pretty sure I saw Allison Janney topless in a recent film.

It reminds me of this Ralph Lauren dress that she wore in 2004


Not identical obviously (different lengths, different neckline) but both have spagetti straps, embroidered detail, and a feathered bottom
