I've heard a non-French TV host mentioned his last name same as it's spelt (yu-lee-el) But I don't know, isn't it when you have double l's it's pronounced like the letter y? So maybe yu-yee-el?...that doesn't sound very good though

The 'D' in Gaspard is silent, so it's just Gas-par. The 'U' in Ulliel is a distinctly French sound, as far as I'm concerned, not quite 'you' or 'oo' but somewhere in between, if that makes sense! The rest is 'lee-ell', so the 'L' is still evident.

Thank you! Surprisingly he doesn't have a very prominent French accent when he's coversing in English...in fact, his English is perfect

its not like, a very strong thick accent.
but you can definitely tell there is an accent there.
