Designer Valantino Garavani gave his closest friends access to some of his label's most incredible dresses for the premiere of the documentary Valentino: The Last Emperor in New York City. "I've had a few post-Oscar burgers, so I didn't fit into any of the vintage pieces," sighed Anne Hathaway, who looked svelte in a jersey one-shoulder dress (paired with Cartier diamonds). Gwyneth Paltrow joked that her old friend gave her full service styling. "My Valentino did my hair, he does a mean blow dry," the actress quipped at a post-screening dinner at the Plaza Hotel's famed Oak Room, where Claire Danes and Madonna also joined in on the fun.

They've got plenty to talk about! Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow glam up for a dinner party in honor of Italian designer Valentino at the Oak Room in New York City on Wednesday. The event, which followed a screening of the documentary, Valentino: The Last Emperor, also brought out Anne Hathaway, Claire Danes and her fiancé Hugh Dancy.

It's so weird. When she wore that dress to the Sylvia Prem I was raving about it. She looked so fantastic. The shoes, accessories and the hair were perfect. But this time I'm ummmm............ I really don't know what to say.

I'm very anti-Valentino at the moment but at least I can say Blythe looks lovely.

I don't care for the dress the first time or this time, but I have to say Gwyneth still looks very pretty in the Valentino pics.
