I just saw Zero Dark Thirty! She was really good. I love how her hair stayed pretty much perfect.... even in the desert!

i just watched it and she was perfect in it! though i still prefer her in debt and lawless.

She was good in that film, but is it oscar-worthy? definitely no! not even for a nomination, but this was a very weak year in her category.I think her performance has been getting all this buzz because of what that film portraits, that's all...
that being said, she is nevertheless a very good actress

A weak year? Maybe in Best Female in a Comedy, Musical, or something, but this year was loaded with great performances from the ladies. All of the women who have been nominated, particularly Jennifer Lawrence and Quvenzhane Wallis, turned in absolutely fantastic, universally praised performances. Similarly, some of those who have not been nominated like Mary Elizabeth Winstead for Smashed and Emayatzy Corinealdi from Middle of Nowhere, have also received glowing reviews. Honestly, I agree that Jessica's performance in ZDT wasn't all that noteworthy. The character wasn't and admittedly couldn't be fully realized. It's a good story, but it's not necessarily conducive to an emotional or even memorable performance, although her final scene was pretty stirring. But personally I found Jason Clarke the standout of the film.
