New Images Of Ethan Hawke & Julie Delpy In 'Before Midnight'

Could there be any movie at the Sundance Film Festival more anticipated – perhaps with a bit of nervousness – than Richard Linklater's "Before Midnight"? With the third romantic outing for Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy, fans are hoping the film honors the remarkable and beautiful "Before Sunrise" and "Before Sunset," and undoubtedly, the picture is easily one of the hottest pictures that distributors may end up battling for. We'll soon know how it plays as the film premieres tonight, but until then, here are some new images from the movie.

Shot on the sly in Greece last summer, the picture catches up with Celine and Jesse nine years later, as once again they use a portion of the day to reignite their relationship. Not much has been given away about the story, though Hawke had previously teased that, "The biggest change between this one and the last one is the Internet" and that, "I feel like in a strange way we may have come to the end of the story." There's no doubt we're anxious to see where these characters go next, and we just hope it's as rewarding an experience as the previous two films.

After playing Sundance, "Before Midnight" will head to the Berlin International Film Festival next month, and hopefully we'll see it open in theaters soon.

Me too. Why do I do it to myself?

Not only did I not realize that there was a third installment in the works, but when I looked up Before Sunset on IMDb, I couldn't believe that the movie really had come out nine years ago! Time really does fly. I cant wait for Before Midnight.

i'm really surprised that i haven't come across (or sought out) this thread until now. i love julie delpy.

she is such a talented actress. in fact i can't think of another actress in our generation that i think manages to capture and portray the kind of very real, vulnerable but a bit aggressive, slightly neurotic, intelligent and ultimately well intending woman that she does in films like 2 days in paris, the 'before' films etc. her pace, movement, body language, sense of humour… everything about it resonates with me so much.

^ Glad you found your way here Julie looks stunning there, that dress shares her slight quirkiness and her body looks fantastic in it.

Before Midnight was everything I hoped for, and more. Definitely my top film of the year thus far.

thanks! I agree, before midnight was exceptional. i've seen some beautiful films this year (Asghar Farhadi's The Past comes to mind) but this really holds its own even in that company.

She is such an ethereal beauty.

SO: I have "Before Sunrise" and "Before Sunset" lined up to rewatch because it's been so long that I want to see those 2 again, and then I'll watch "Before Midnight" - hopefully all in the next 3 days!

Well, I'm done! ha ha. I watched 2 in a row last night (the second one was only 80 minutes, so I thought "what the heck"? because by then I was totally immersed in this couple anyhow) and finished at 1:00 am and then tonight I watched Before Midnight.

It was heavenly. Very brave performances. Excellent writing. Very real story. Very magical story.

I highly recommend the triple feature of befores. Do we think there will be another?

I hope so!!!
