I think this might be a 3.1 Phillip Lim cardigan...

Didn't notice they were ripped anywhere else BUT the knee's.

Kate definitely owns the old Topshop pair from SS08 though, because she's worn them before ( Last summer).

If the jeans are J-brand, okay. J-brand have obviously ripped off Topshop

^ You're right.

Just had another look and the jeans are not the Topshop ones at all.

Her Topshop pair are simply ripped at the knee's, plain light wash and, on Kate, they're rather baggy ( although I remember they were not a baggy fit usually; only slightly baggy on most girls). Everyone will remember when from SS08 because she wore them in the airport coming back and forth from London a lot! xXxXx

Balmain

J Brand

you decide

celebrity-gossip, intermix & style.it

i think her ripped jeans are either by Topshop or Balmain simply because her stylist Cher recommended them for this season's style choice. of course that's not to say her jeans can't be from J Brand but their rips are not the same as Kate's. Cher has influenced Kate's style a great deal so we can find some answers from her interview.

Quote:
Sabra Ricci’s Interview with Cher Coulter, Stylist to the Star’s, on “How To Be Absolutely Fabulous This Holiday Season”

SR: I wanted to talk about what you consider paramount to looking spectacular this holiday season. Can you share what is hot and what is not?
CC: I think with the recession and credit crunch. It’s most fashionable to rebel against this and add some glamour to your look. Sparkle! Sequins, feathers, metalics, brights! Brave choices and lots of jewelry. You don’t have to spend a fortune.. Express (www.express.com ) did some great black sequin leggings and TopShop (www.topshop.com ) is affordable and fun. Dress for a party in the day time. Brighten peoples moods! Be the movie star you admire most!

What are the must-have accessories this season?
Well for spring 2009:
