On the phone from New York to the Herald's fashion editor, Kellie Hush, Bosworth, who is judging the Women's Classic Racewear title, said she had been briefed on the sartorial stakes. Suitcases full of Alex Perry, sass & bide, Collette Dinnigan, Lover and Willow gowns were sent to New York last week for the 23-year-old star's stylist Cher Coulter to shortlist for her approval. The Melbourne milliner Richard Nylon won the job of creating the three or so hats for the top secret Saturday selection. Bosworth says her choice will depend on her mood on the day and the fit (an incy wincy US size 0, Australian 4, according to the gossip magazines) but she "will absolutely wear an Australian designer ... no doubt about it". Sadly on this trip she will be sans her former boyfriend Orlando Bloom. But Bosworth says: "I made a lot of friends while living in Sydney and they are all flying with me to Melbourne," referring to her months living in Potts Point during filming. "I'm also bringing my best friend over from high school, so it will be a bit of a girls' weekend." --- apparently she chose one black floor-length gown (above) and a shorter lace dress in white....
