Yeah, not a fan either. But they are reaching for the drugstore buying demo. I don't like that they test on animals either. I know Clinique doesn't, so I try to use their stuff.

Some of her Revlon ads were so badly photo shopped I have no idea what they were thinking, but others were lovely. I checked PETA and they linked to another site that said that Revlon DOESN'T test on animals. They were one of the first cosmetic companies to swear off animal testing in the 1990s apparently.

I think it's more that she has nothing to promote at the moment so there's no need to tip off the paparazzi as to where she is. With some exceptions (ie. Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan), most Hollywood stars tend to get photographed by paparazzi a lot more when they are promoting a project because they need to get their faces and names in magazines, on blogs, etc. Sometimes it is because their publicists (or the film studio) tip them off, sometimes it is because there is just more interest for a celebrity who is currently in the spotlight.

Of course, there are some notable exceptions, like Daniel Day Lewis or Will Smith, who rarely get followed even when releasing a huge movie. But that's because they're such big stars, they don't need the extra publicity to promote a project. But for lesser known stars, an appearance in Us Weekly such as "Kate Bosworth, who appears in the upcoming 21, shops for groceries" is free publicity and helpful.

I'm sure that when her next film is approaching release, candids will suddenly start to surface more frequently. It's all part of the game.
