yes..i fully agree, i always say on this thread how the clothes wear her rather than her wearing, and half the time she looks like a kid wearing dress up.
but her style of dressing more maturely, with the bob haircut, a bit more upper class than Posh's weird style.. is taking off for her, and she's often been on the best dressed lists, with designers falling over to send her clothes. That's why i think she'll become a bit of an icon ..oh well her stylist will

I really,really like her "style" but I agree that they don't suit her. The clothes wear her - and she never looks "real" and credible. And thats why I don't know why she's one of the best dressed celebrities... because she looks so pretentious.

i agree on this..it is the same for Victoria Beckham,too.i think posh influences Katie a lot on her choices...

I remember flipping through US Weekly and they dubbed her the "New Jacquie O." - how ridiculous! Jacquie Onassis was refined and didn't buy her way into fame and fashion. She was also ladylike and much of it was her elegance, her persona stlye, &c. Just because Katie Holmes' stylist buys her "chic traditionals" doesn't mean anything.

^also Katie's fast lane access to style has been granted by marrying Tom..when i see photos of her from three years ago, i almost fall over backwards she had no style and was so plain and average.

I love many of the pieces of clothing that she wears, but I also agree that she has nice clothes because she has the $$$ to spend on them. Many people have much more actual style than Katie and only a fraction of her clothing budget. (Though I doubt that she has a clothing budget.)

^thanks for the photos, but that's not her in Paris, that's her in Fred Segal in La a few days before xmas

there was a video too on x17.com it was cute as you could see Suri walking around the store.. and katie just sort of aimlessly wondering around..
