I think the blue outfit is cute, but not for an event. She's stunning though.

She is absolutely gorgeous like always.

I adore the green sweater she wears in this interview:

could somebody ID it, please?

These things are always fun:

And here's her NYTimes performance video: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2...eira-knightley

Not gonna lie, I couldn't stop laughing when she started running.

The NY Times clips this year are even stranger than usual. Was she trying to win a race or did she just fancy a jog in the park wearing that dress? Very weird. Thanks for posting.

^^^Agree. Also, slightly OT, but I hate the way Elle Fanning is sexualized in nearly every commercial, short, etc. she does. Yes, she's blonde and cute, but let's remember this kid is 13/14 please. Stop projecting this Lolita crap on her. Is that really the only way people can invent to showcase this kid, who's a beautiful actress btws. Whatever.

That said, Keira's was probably the strangest and most confusing, which is a feat. She was also, IMO, probably the least natural. Others like Kerry Washington, Elle of course, little Quvenzhane Wallis (love that little girl!) and Jennifer Lawrence each had their own weird/over-the-top situations to overcome but still managed to do it somewhat believably. But I've never been a fan of Keira's acting skills in general. She looked great in the dress they had her in though.

I agree, Keira is very hit and miss when it comes to her acting. Her little clip looked more like a BTS of a fashion shoot and it paled in comparison to Wallis' (who is ridiculously adorable), Watts and Lawrence's. It's very strange because in a photoshoot she has the ability to convey so much with just one look but that sometimes doesn't transfer to her performances in films.

I assume that was intentional (because otherwise the people behind it are completely incompetent).

Yeah, I think we can safely say that the aim of these directors/producers was to make all of these clips hugely dramatic. That's a given. But I'm talking performance-wise. She was just hugely theatrical, and weirdly enough I've heard she's quite good on the stage so it's possible that's just where she's more suited. But I always have trouble "believing" her when I'm watching her act. I mean, she's not at a Kristen Stewart level of acting, but I can usually see the effort behind Knightley's performances. And I used to wonder if it was because I followed her as a fashion addict and general fan of young, confident women in an industry teeming with (and indeed largely at fault for creating) insecure women. But I don't know. She's just not one of my favorites acting-wise.

Out of all of the NYT's video's I thought Keira's was one of the better ones. But honestly, I hated most of them, they didn't have any point to them. Was I suppose to understand something? Or am I just too thick to understand the video's meaning? The only video I really liked was the one with Quvenzhane Wallis, it was adorable. Keira looked lovely in it though, I love that sort of vintage hairstyle on her.

I do agree that she is very hit and miss. To be honest, she has yet to top her performances in Pure and Pride & Prejudice.
