I agree with Slinky........style maven, to me anyway, means someone who has impeccable style and taste and sorry folks, and she does not. She dresses like a high end whore and ruins every designer piece she wear......to sum up, I hate the woman and her "style".

Did anyone hear? Kimora Lee was recently busted for wreckless driving! When the police man pulled her over, they found the reason she was driving all over the road was because she had been smoking marijuana. The police searched her car and found a bag of it in her glove box. She claimed is was for pharmaceutical purposes! Yeah right! So much for her acting all high class!

Yeah, it was in The Fashion Daily section.

I just got the New Bazaar the other day and they had an edit. called Vive le Difference where they took 20 designers and put two in each picture with a look from the recent collections. Anyway, they had designers like Lang, Lagerfeld, D&G, Jacobs.....basically a lot of the influential designers of the scene and they had one designer saying what they like about the other. Then I turn to a page and on one is Carolina Herrera and on the other was......Kimora Lee Simmons, included with some of the biggest and most well respected designers in the world. I was just like, you've gott be ****ing kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow guys! So passionate about this girl.
Here's my two cents. I think Kimora Lee is no more superficial and arrogant than a lot of the celebrities we look at. The difference between her and them, is that she has no facades. She says, yes, I married rich...very rich, and I'm using it to do (and own) everything I've always wanted to. Does that really make her any different than all these other socialites? The only difference is she married a rap mogul instead of a hotel mogul and she uses those millions to buy flashy Versace and Cavalli instead of subdued Chanel and Ralph Lauren. She's obnoxious, she's self-absorbed and a little bitchy...but she doesn't pretend and she loves her life.

BTW: 1) She absolutely did not deserve to be in that Bazaar layout!
2)Smoking weed in the Hamptons, that is tacky, she should do coke like
the rest of them

Awesome Funky- she is not at all pretentious...and I love her for that. So many socialites do almost the same exact thing without so much venom spewed at them.

At least she was able to turn her husband's brand around and help him make money off of it rather than just laying around and shopping all day.

edited to say: of course- there are worse things to be doing all day :P

For me anyway, she doesn't have any right to be arrogant, other celebrities have some talent, they act, sing, design......but she doesn't do any of that which begs the question, why the hell is she so arrogant?

I don't mind her, she's over the top, yes, but hey, nowadays it's a do or die situation in anything you do, either you go all the way or don't bother. Otherwise everyone starts screaming how fake you are if you don't have a set, definite image - no playing around allowed, lol. Especially the crowd her line caters to... Besides her husband is a rap mogul, I guess if she does anything it would most likely be easiest for her to work in that direction. Plus it's her personality, loud and proud...I like her trash( I admit, it is trash ) It's good to mix up with other stuff, and gives an edge to clean 'couture' stuff...And I think she is gorgeous, there's nothing soft and wimpy about her, she's a glamazon all the way, a strong type of female. And after 2 children, I don't see why she should lose weight, that's a well taken care of female body.

And...she is also selling a lifestyle with her clothes, people buy into what she does. I'd love to be able to have her lifestyle - although I probably would do something else with the money.

Emphasis on the "DID" in "did have a good body".

She has let herself go since then. She's a bit chubby and flabby. She should spend less time smoking pot and talking about her material items and more time at the gym

celinechic-- exactly the very reason why i used past tense on the physical admiration
too bad...
she could do plenty good with that money. many rich people live humbly without having to flaunt every single expensive item they have ALL at the SAME time... sublimity has its rewards.
showing it all off in one blow makes her wayy too obnoxious.
and yeah though we envy her that she can afford all those, its still not classy to look that way-- all bling bling. she should take lessons from the other rich classy ladies who dont show it all off... sigh
