Marie Antoinette was on TV last night so I watched it; such an underrated film. I read the biography by Antonia Fraser and I think Sofia captured well the sentiments of the book. Plus you could really tell that Kirsten was coming into her own as an actress, and it foreshadows her performance in Melancholia in my view.

well you can tell they have 8-10 years in between - looking at Kirsten and Kristen and the way they hold theirselves up - Kirsten looks all grown up, like a "woman" and Kristen still looks like a "girl" trying to find her "look" and therefore does look like somebody put her into the clothes and not like Kirsten where you could assume that she was the one deciding to wear what she wears
I can't .. look at Kirsten in 2004 at the same age as Kristen. Pixie haircut and mini dresses but always carefully balanced. There must be some 8-10 levels of confidence in between instead imo.. on one hand you have someone that, yes, has had her time to experiment with fashion but has never (past 18) let it override her, there's an understanding of style, elegance, dignity, modesty, proportions, you name it, especially at experimental phases.. a pretty solid approach to how garments are meant to complement a body and personality, something I don't see in Kristen, she has an amazing face and good body and I bet her makeup artist and stylist have the time of their lives expressing themselves through that, but I almost feel bad for how extreme self-consciousness opens room for others to decide on career/image moves, and obviously produce imagery you don't want to look back to in 2-3 years and that's inconsistent with what you try to verbally get across.
Who makes Kirsten's dress anyway? love the sharpness of it, she's always had such a good eye for tailored pieces.

I really like her Dior look but her styling of it is kind of tacky. The tights with the hair and hair... I don't know, she looks a messy. But next to Kirsten she looks fantastic, so good for her
Love her in the Dior coatdress. I also love how she is rocking the fishnets. Hardly anyone wears them any more. They are so flattering.
