I am super-excited for this movie! I just ordered the book on it, too. I don't really like what she is wearing in the photoshoot on the previous page, but she is gorgeous nonetheless.

I want to get some books on MA. She sounds fascinating and the French Revolution is fascinating anyway.

I have read Antonia Fraser's biography of MA (on which the film was based) with glowing cheeks - the chapter about the royal couple trying to escape from Paris from the chasing mob and just starting revolution is just unputownable - I could not hear what my boyfriend was asking me about - I was so overwhelmed by the book!
It also explains and straightens lots of facts about MA (for example this famous quote about "let them eat rolls" is not actually hers, for example!).
Cannot wait to see the film and I am sure I will buy a DVD with it when it is released.
Oh and about Kiki style: I love this big bag she is carrying recently and her tomboyish style - really suits here, this masculine jacket!

^ I read both that book and another by a woman named Lever and they were both very good.
I was so happy when they were both on the PBS special about MA!!
I am really looking forward to seeing this film.

I don't like Antonia Fraser's book.Stefan Zweig's biography is far more better but i can understand Sophia's reasons for not adapting it.

Apparently there is alot of controversy in France about the movie..I think there is an association devoted to marie antoinette and they are saying that they arent portraying her with respect to what really happened..

either way im dying to see it..i also love the fact that there is a modern twist even though its set in a different time period..
