Kirsten Dunst sees a "Ghost"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Kirsten Dunst will star in and produce the supernatural thriller "A Jealous Ghost."

The project, set up at art-house studio Paramount Vantage, is based on the 2005 novel by A.N. Wilson's novel.

Dunst, who has said she was interested in finding a dark, elevated psychological thriller in the vein of "The Shining" and Roman Polanski's "Repulsion," has not appeared in such a movie since her 1994 breakthrough "Interview With the Vampire." She is currently in theaters with "Marie Antoinette."

Virginia-based screenwriter Megan Holley's adaptation detours from the book, which is written in third-person omniscient, dropping certain elements while creating new characters and story points. The take sees Dunst playing a young woman studying in London who, upon beginning a relationship with one of her professors, starts seeing demons.

Kirsten was my first favorite actress.

When "Jumanji" came out, I fell in love with her and even made a little scrapbook with pictures of her... Ok, I feel like a loser now, but I just wanted to point out the fact that I've loved her since "Jumanji"!
