Get some beauty tips from Kristen Stewart's glam team @mememai and @hairbyadir about her Aussie premiere look!

Quote:
Kristen’s hairstylist ADIR ABERGEL put his own spin on the popular “top knot” hairstyle trend after being inspired to do an upside down braided look! Adir told me that he wanted to give her a little height in the front with an intricate back.
I’ve always been such a fan of Kristen’s hair in braids, and while she doesn’t do it often, when she does — it’s always something new, edgy and fresh. I hope this becomes somewhat of a trend with her.

Want to learn how to create this style? Check out Adir’s breakdown below. It may sound a bit complicated, but if you can really visualize it — you should be just fine!

First begin with dry hair, flip your hair over and start to French braid the back of the hair until you’ve reached the crown area. At that point continue braiding the rest of the hair that is left out of the French braid. You will then fold the braid over the French braid and pin it in place.

Now for the rest of the hair that was not braided ( that is just the hair on top of head) you will take some Fekkai COIFF Sheer Hold Hairspray and spray the roots for some volume. Pull the hair into a top knot leaving volume in the front and secure it in place with some pins right above where the braid ends ( top of the crown).

Spray some Fekkai sheer hold and you are done!

Now for some “key notes” for you, from Adir — it’s very important to make sure the sides of your hair are tight into the upside down french braid. You want the height of your hair to only be found in the front and in the top knot.

As for her nails, sadly Kristen’s poor tips were lacking a little love and attention with a fresh coat of polish.

K.Stew’s lacquer was perfectly chipped, and if the color looks familiar to you — it should as she wore the very same shade to the MTV Movie Awards earlier this month. Do you covet this shade for yourself? It’s “Graphite” from CHANEL and available online!

i'd rather not take any hair advice from Kristen (and it's a dutch braid not a french braid)

^ Kristen didn't give any hair advice.

Thanks for posting, sleepykrista! I'm definitely going to give that look a try. I think the messiness in the way Kristen's was styled is much better suited to the look than the more "polished" ones that were posted. The only thing off about Kristen's look was the stylist didn't shape the front quite right. Easily remedied.

She explained in I don't know which mag that she didn't want to take perfect pictures and chose instead to look real so people would remember her as the girl who had fun (I think she was justifying her last MET).

I'm with you on that one. Her stylist is really bad. And it's so unfortunate because she could look SO good, if she'd be in the right clothes.

^I agree with her sentiment but it would be more convincing if she actually looked like she was having fun. Her stylist should just start dressing her in things that suit her and she's comfortable in. She exudes confidence when she wears trousers but looks like a girl who's been dragged to prom in the sparkly numbers.

I love her in the Chaiken suit! I love the color. The Balmain look isn't my favorite. I kind of have a love-hate feeling for it. I think she is too short for the skirt but if the skirt were shortened for her it would lose the intricate detailing. I admire her risk taking. I love her make up/nails and her hair is crazy and not in a good way. The pumps are nice but I don't think they work for that overall look. She's got so much going on with hair, clothing, shoes, it's too much. I think I would've downplayed the shoes and hair.

you can see how uncomfortable and awkward she looked haha. she's so weird..
Haha thanks for the link. Ya it's kinda cringe worthy and you can see Ruth and the other ladies looking down at her her shoes probably thinking to themselves "why on earth would she ruin this look with ....converse?!"... I know did! What else can you expect from Kristen?.....*sigh

We are big fashion, beauty and jewelry junkies here at KSN, so we always love to see what Miss Stewart is rockin’ on any given day. Kristen has such unique taste in jewelry and has said in interviews that she looks at her pieces as sentimental tokens, not just adornments. So when she sported some funky new rings on her finger today, we took notice!

While Kristen was Down Under for the premiere of Snow White and the Huntsman, Sydney-based jewelry designer Amy Robson gave her this 4-piece “Rocks” rings set. Ms. Robson describes on her website that ”Rocks” is a play on words for the slang for ‘diamonds’ and explains she’s created the design from this collection since 2009.

Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend, but we also can’t pass up this stacked set of fabulous sterling silver rings faceted to mimic a diamond either! The set retails for $295 and can be purchased by contacting Amy through her website amyrobsonjewellery.com
