It is not an assumption, it is a well known truth that just about everyone calls the paps. It's not just the celebs who get papped the least that call them, it can be those that get papped the most. Brangelina, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Biel, right down to the obvious ploys of Spencer and Heidi. Many have relationships with specific agencies and by informing one agency (say X17) of their whereabouts they get a percentage of the sales. This is completely common and normal. Especially for someone like Lauren, it's crucial that she get her picture out there as often as possible to stay relevant, and to promote her clothing line and style. I'm not saying it is a bad thing, at all, or that there is never an occasion where they are caught off guard but this is the normal thing to do in Hollywood and I think you are misinformed if you believe otherwise.

The paparazzi knows where Lauren lives and her house is very accessible. Her paparrazi pics come from a variety of agencies- Wenn, Splash, X17, INF, Getty, to name a few so I doubt she has any deal going like Speidi whose ridiculous pics all come from the same agency--Pacific Coast News. Lauren's pics are usually so mundane that it's hard to imagine she would call the paps to watch her walk from her house to her car or shop at Whole Foods.

Like others I think Lauren is the last person who would call the paparrazi- she doesn't need to and doesn't strike me as that desperate for attention.

^ I agree. She doesn't even give them the time of the day (unlike Paris, Kristin C., Audrina, Heidi, etc.) who will chat with the paps, promote their latest projects and themselves, as they get to their car. The paparrazi knows where she lives, camp outside her house (creepy!) and follow her out when she does run errands. It's obvious in those TMZ/youtube vids, where they even mention "Lauren left her house. We're going to follow her, etc...".

Like it or not, she's on a hit tv show, which gets more viewership than GG even. Makes sense why the paps are following her around town. If she wanted the attention, she would have had the paps follow her around early in her reality career - back in 2005/2006 we hardly ever saw candids of her because she wasn't that well known and the Hills wasn't that big of a hit.

Model Fittings

Lauren was very hands-on throughout the process; here she sift through the looks that the models will wear on the runway—there were 41 in the show. "During the fitting we assign each model two or three looks," Lauren says. After picking who will wear what, the girls try their pieces on. "Most of the modal jersey pieces fit the models but many of the stretch sateen pieces had to be altered. This dress had to be taken in about two inches."

Accessories Galore!

"Shoes shoes shoes," says Lauren of the heels the models would wear on the runway. " We decided on three style from Report Signature." When it came to the rest of the accessories, "We chose bangles and rings by Alexis Bittar and belts from Forever 21."

Show Time!

Below, Lauren poses with her makeup artist Amy Nadine and all the models (some wearing flower headpieces that Lauren made earlier), who are ready to hit the catwalk. "The show went so well and I would like to thank everyone who was involved and all of our sponsors," Lauren says.

I honestly do not think that most stars have a deal with the paps especially the likes of Brangelina, Jennifer Gardner, etc... The ones that do are quite obvious and the practice is not at all normal. Celebrities that do engage in these types of deals are usually called out ie. Perez Hilton.

Really to stay relevant she needs the paps? This does not make any sense... maybe if she was not on a hit show watched by more than 4 milllions combine (more viewership than GG), has several endorsements, invited to top events, grace several mags covers, etc...

The only reason one would make this statement is because her show happens to be a semi-reality show... The GG casts would have more reasons for them to deal with the paps then Lauren in order to stay relevant...

But I will just agree to disagree... the only reason I even reply back was the fact the Rachel Bilson gets papped just as much as LC when she is in LA doing the same mundane stuff and dressing up too... but no one will write such in a thread...

Like you said, we're leading this thread offtopic (and I admit fault for that - so apologies) so I won't respond in more detail, but I didn't mean to offend anyone. I am sure she does it, others disagree, fine but when I say such a thing, it is not intended as an insult. It's smart business.

I love those behind-the-scenes pics of her fashion show. I think that's what sets her apart from other celebrity designers. She really is actually involved and doesn't just show up on the runway to take a bow.

I wonder how long her hair is without extensions.

I agree. I think she looked gorgeous in that episode. I still can't get over how pretty she looked the night of her fashion show. Thanks for posting those ZPosen! She does resemble her mother a bit.
