The wedding is going to be the season finale, so this was all filmed for the show. She kinda has to be there seeing as she's the star of the show. MTV can't have the final episode of S5 end without her, seeing as its her last season.

^Actually, I do have some idea. I've been to business school (and law school for a few years) which involves lots of contracts.. and I still don't think MTV can force her to attend a thing like a wedding she doesn't want to go to. I doubt that MTV would have the possibility to sue her for not attending a wedding if they wanted to. If she really didn't want to go, they could've have made shots of her outside the wedding. And yes, we all know she'll be happy once the contract is over.

I remember Lo saying something about Lauren still having to attend several events after she was done filming, that could be one way it was in her contract, it also could have been that she agreed to a certain amount of episodes, and they didn't have footage for all of them, or it could have been "must attend finale filming" or something similar. Lauren would not have gone if she didn't have to, look at how miserable she look! Besides the fact that she can't stand Spencer and Heidi, she was in NY 2 days ago, Wisconsin yesterday . . . I doubt she wanted to rush home for the wedding.

I'm just saying you have no idea what's in her contract, I'm not saying you don't know what a contract is. I remember she stopped filming in Feb or March but I read somewhere that MTV is forcing her to film fake scenes now, she can't tell them no because her contract is not over.

She looked so pretty at the wedding, but I feel soo bad for her. It's bad enough to sit through a wedding that you're forced to attend, but on top of that having to listen to your ex friend say vows to a guy that tried to ruin your image. . . and how that dishonest guy meant more to her than your friendship. . . I would probably cry! I wonder how they "wrote" her leaving into the storyline.

Also at the Paley event thing didn't she say that she wasn't going? And weren't the producers there? Something totally doesn't add up. I wonder if she was tricked into attending?
