Picasso will only deploy the car shot as a last resort. It is the final backup plan. Now, there is a lesson to be learned by this photograph of Ashley Olsen as she was driving off from the Chateau Marmont last night. If she had stopped to pose for one moment and did not play her hiding games, we would have had a more traditional photograph. So, since she was uncooperative, as usual, this was the result. Magazines and newspapers around the world including our pal Perez are scooping up this shot up. The photo has become iconic and it tells a story.

my theory is that they only wear the heels when getting out of the car because they know theyre going to get photographed and then take it off when they get inside stuff it in their humongous bags and switch to itty bitty comfy shoes.

I got into a car accident one time because I was in humongo heels. Seriously, I rear ended someone because my foot got caught and it caused a 4 car pile up! Thankfully, the cop didn't write me up for a fashion citation. I have never worn them to drive again. I now have "driving shoes" in my car (old sneakers). Either these girls are massively talented behind the wheel or they also have some crappy driving shoes to change into.
