I actually like that Narciso Rodriguez dress. those dainty dead muted tea-party jacket-and-skirt thingy is sooo 1908-2008 *sacarsm*
and yes this will be the new U.S. first lady fashion regime (which rocks ), at least ppl in US dont have to stuck with Stephen Harper's bulging suit and tie. Gawd i wish i can vote...

This is my favorite family photo of them. They look so happy. It's heartwarming.

A lot of people speak 5 languages fluently, nothing special about that. She has never worked as hard as Michelle, she didn't come from nothing, she's had everything she could ever want her whole life. I think she was nothing special. She did nothing but stand around and look pretty. Her parents were filthy rich, for god's sake. Sure she went to university, but her parents had the money to get her in everywhere she wanted, she never had to lift a finger. I don't get why she is so praised, style-wise too. I think Michelle is much more interesting. She wears both cheap and expensive items, and I'm sure she has other things to do than standing around in expensive clothes doing nothing.

i personally dont think that.. if its true, that if she is unfavourable in ratings in america or if she has the same education that they are alike. But thats just my opinion.
I think they started polling the potential first lady's around 2004...it made a lot of sense this time around since Cindy and Michelle really injected themselves into the race by doing rallies for their husbands. But she has 4 years to get her ratings up amongst the public...

It's wrong to set both women against the standards of separate time eras. The 60's and now are very different, esp. in regards to the role and expectations of women.

I don't think that's Rodarte.

I agree with previous posters - let's not bring down other women to raise another up. They were both political women, with great style, from two different era's and let's leave it at that, so that this thread can stay on topic.

It is pretty obvious based on your comments that you've never read a biography of Jackie and her accomplishments, so I will just leave it at that. Michelle is amazing as well.
