Its so cool they are always smiling, laughing and holding hands. These people love each other and it shows.

Thanks for the great pix, Kamelot!

I agree, Jamie, I just love that shot of her in the Oval Office!! Confidence is a beautiful thing.

Those look like some fantastic earrings that she wore to the Obama Staff Ball ... has anyone seen a closeup/know whose they are/know anything about them? They look like possibly the work of that LA jewelry designer she wears pretty frequently whose name escapes me at the moment

I must say President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are first rate couple. luvs it!

And as for Michelle's wardrobe I love how it screams "I am approachable"
love the Oval office pix of her standing at ease and relax. It gives a whole new meaning of First Lady of the 21st Century.

On the last page the coat she wore to her daughter's school is by Narciso Rodriquez, as are the suit and blouse she wore at the white house reception. [source: mrs-o.org]

^ The same website notes that that gorgeous cardigan she wore with the lemongrass outfit was Nina Ricci (no wonder I liked it, and that explains the detailing) and the embellishment was a vintage brooch rather than a necklace as has been reported elsewhere.

Was just there across the street from Georgia Brown's where Mrs. Obama and Mrs. Biden were having lunch with the mayor of D.C.! Actually just kind of lucked into seeing it as was on my lunch break. Got a shabby photo myself, but she looked beautiful in her blue dress and coat. Here's the best my poor camera phone was able to get...but the people outside (myself included) were going wild for her, and she stopped to take time and shake hands with many.

^ Yes lucky you! I love her outfit, blue looks great on her but the shoes I am not a fan of, I like that she recycles her clothing though.

We know change has already started at the White House just by checking out Mrs. O’s recent activities. Her schedule has been busy and her approach has been refreshingly open. On January 22, just two days after the inauguration, Mrs. O threw her premiere First Lady party: the entire White House staff - 90 people including plumbers, florists, and cleaning staff - was invited to the East Room for a get-together.
