Wow she looks fabulous in Jumper. Great hair and makeup.

I think she is talented. She's obviously not the next Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett or even Jodie Foster, but IMO she does have a likablity in most of her roles. To me she comes of as less pretentious, stiff and affected than Mischa Barton, though Summer was no doubt an easier role to play. We really haven't seen much of her outside The OC yet but what I have makes me think she's definitely decent, if not outstanding. Though it's her pixie cute looks and classic mix quirky style that made me more of a fan.

^She is very lovely and can be talented but imho you are confusing the apples to the peaches with the names you mention. A chance she can be the next Jennifer Aniston or Sandra Bullock maybe.. Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett and Jodie Foster are extreme examples of character actresses and i think Rachel has a very very long way to achieve to get there and to be honest i do not think she has that kind of raw talent, she is just an ordinary good young actress. And BTW why "even Jodie Foster"? I think she is one of the most succesful actresses in the contemporary movie history!

I love the photo. Black hair makes her more beautiful IMO.

I don't think that she's a good actress at all. She's adorable, but I've seen The OC, The Last Kiss and Chuck and her characterization is poor. Her characters come off as one-dimensional and I doubt that's just because of the writing.

That being said... that photo is gorgeous.

I definitely don't think she can act, but she's quite pretty and her style is fab.

She acted so well in the OC! She was natural and funny. I don't understand why she accepts such dumb roles in movies... But as you said Wheresmyumbrella, her style is fab!

well, she may not have as many opportunities and also, she is an actress and would rather work and exercise her roles.
i know i would want stability.

well, i am thinking the opposite. She (but especially misha) didn't do a really good job on the acting in the oc. But maybe because on her part the acting wasn't too challenging. dunno.. but in order to get great roles offered you need to prove yourself. The oc didn't do too much good for her. Plus she's young, she's getting started. Maybe her time will come. But aside from her acting, I love her style!

She's a clean slate as a young actress, people like Lindsay and Kierra had more of an acting opportunity to show their skills. I don't think we can compare her to Meryl or Cate, women in their 30s and 40s who have proven their track record. I can't say if she's skilled, but has many more years to prove her acting talent. Whenever a woman is beautiful and has a fashion sense, its hard for them to get the real role in our American cinema, kinda like how Halle Barry and Reece Witherspoon had to accept many bimbo'ish roles before their time came.

besides no one can truly do any decent acting in the OC, I sure didn't watch it for its acting skills.

Don't discredit Sandra Bullock. She was great in Murder by Numbers.

lol, totally not to mention Crash which showed her serious acting skills. Anyway, she's in a league above Rachel, no comparison there yet.
