I think the interview shows a turning point in her professionalism to be honest, you can tell that she's maturing and getting more sophisticated when talking about her music and views, she can express the meaning other than 'it's rock and roll'.
As for her image, i think she's looking really good lately personally. I love her green/shearling jacket.
while she is 17 (who hasn't had terrible fashion choices at that age) and is allowed to make mistakes, she just tries too hard to be controversial. no one should try and dress like courtney love, i'm sorry.
i don't think that Taylor should be compared to Courtney . as much as Courtney is the one people love to hate, she has a name, shes not a fake, she lives her life the way she does.... plus she was married to grunge God, so i have some respect for her. Taylor can be forgotten in 30 seconds, Courtney stays. she will never be a role model, but she was part of grunge era, part of sth big.
i will never understand girls like Taylor.... acting out is fine when u r a teen... u r all dramatic, and u feel misunderstood all the time, but there is a line. at first i thought shes just in her puberty, but now shes just trying to look bad, to act like a bada$$ and i wonder if shes aware that she might be on the road to nowhere.
