It could be because of Zac, but I think it's largely due to the fact that she has all of this fame but comes off as an "ingrate" in Perez Hilton's words, and she isn't that special.

Yeah, she's pretty, but she isn't a good actress and her voice is medicore--her albums and acting performances have gotten pretty biting reviews.

So it's that, and then when it comes to her style, it's trendy, tacky, and tired. Meow!

Until very recently I had no idea who she was. First time I paid attention to her was when I got my copy of Lucky. I actually liked her picks and seeing candids of her, I feel like her style is pretty consistent, not groundbreaking but I get the appeal.

Also what I liked is that the article in the mag felt true to her real daily style. I mean she was raving about flat boots and all I can say is I'm envious of her collection.

Also, I think that to the public, and I am not saying this is entirely my opinion, but her attitude is kind of annoying. First off, she preaches about how she hates paparazzi and only got into singing and acting because she truly loved it, but that's not believable when the talent's not there to back it up. It's OK when Sean Penn goes nuts on the paps, or to use a younger star, someone like Kristen Stewart. It's believable when she says she got into the business because she truly loved it--the talent is there to back her up. But no with Vanessa. Also, it seems a bit rich for someone who became famous from a Disney Channel Movie to act all holier than thou to the paparazzi when she should be grateful that HSM gave her all these opportunities.

Personally, I'm on the fence with Vanessa, sometimes she seems cute and sweet, the other times, fake and cocky. I look at her candid style often, but I am usually disappointed.

I know that for most people I know who dislike her it's because she was in HSM, which is highly unpopular with lots of people here. Personally, I find HSM extremely annoying, but I think Vanessa is cute and wears some pretty nice outfits sometimes, so I don't see why I shouldn't like her..

I actually really like Vanessa's style. She always looks so cool and laid back in whatever she's wearing and she has the best taste in boots ever. She knows how to dress. Her new hair is great too. She's a very pretty girl but I don't think she's a great singer or actress. I still love High School Musical though! And Vanessa's style.
