I didn't realise that she was in the girl on the bridge. I hired from the local library ages ago. I think i'll have to go and re-watch it

I think Vanessa is so beautiful! But not just in a physical form... her beauty comes from within. Her appearance almost has nothing to do with why she appeals to me.... she will always be gorgeous no matter what she looks like! But of course she is very pretty on the outside... but there's something else going on in the inside,
I discovered her through Johnny Depp... haha I ended up becoming a bigger fan of Vanessa than Johnny!

I've been thinking lately, and I've come to realise that I am really, terribly bored of Kate Moss, and far more interested in Vanessa. I've been a fan of Vanessa for quite a while now, and have been a 'fan' of Kate's at the same time, but nowadays I find that I simply cannot get excited about new photos of Kate the way I do with Vanessa.

In my opinion, Vanessa is not stereotypically beautiful, in fact on a day to day basis I don't find her that great looking, although when she's all dressed up I think she's gorgeous. However she's more interesting looking, she's more unique, her photos are always new and different.

Kate on the other hand seems to have one expression stuck on her face half the time, and I simply cannot get excited about her appearance, it's become bland. Every now and again I come across a photo of her and think it's beautiful, but not really because of Kate. She's become dull in my eyes. The world thinks she's beautiful, I think in some circumstances she's beautiful, but generally she's so blasé.

Random post I know, I just didn't know where to voice it and needed to get it out of my head, lol.

I like her stage make up (but only for the stage of course). She looks quite healthy.

I do not know what attracts me to Vanessa. There is just something unique in her even if she is a "one hit wonder" and what else. She appeals to me very strongly. As for her looks, she seems very human and expressive, she does not seem to fear her facial expressions and speaking with "movement". As for her style, she's a hit-or-miss, but interesting. Her music is absolutely beautiful. Do not laugh for the next thing I am going to say, but her songs, especially those on Bliss have helped me through hard times. For some reason when life gets hard I start to listen to her more and more. I also like her 80's music, even if it is kitchy...I like kitchy things, especially if they are in French!

While I do like her, I am not going to say everything she does is great...for example, I can imagine she isn't maybe the best actress. As for her being a one-hit-wonder and unsuccesful, I have to say I more like people who are underrated, even underrated for reason. She's not over-exposed, and if she would become that, all of her appeal would be gone for me. As for her personality, that kind of thing I cannot have an opinion at all. All I know of her is image and music, to me, that is enough.

Did I also add that she seems to do amazing gigs too?

What I do not like is the way people attach her to Depp. I for one could not care for Depp, but I do care for Vanessa. They are a couple but they are not Siamese twins.

I guess the thing that attracts me the most is that she is not perfect nor does she need to be that.

I can understand and agree with much of what you've said, and certainly wouldn't laugh about her music, or anyones music for that matter, helping you through hard times. I think music in general can really help, and Vanessa's just happens to be amongst my favourites!

As to her as an actress, I quite like her and I've seen almost all of her films, the only one I'm missing is Elisa and Pollux, but she only voiced the latter so I'm not that interested in seeing it. La fille sur le Pont I thought was beautiful, her acting in it was great, and I'm not surprised she got a Cesar for Noce Blanche because that was great, especially for her first acting gig. Half a Chance I found really enjoyable and funny, and to be honest I haven't found a single one of her films dull.

As to her and Johnny, I do think that nowadays she isn't known enough in her own right and more as Johnny's other half, but I really admire him as an actor and person (and a very beautiful man) so I don't mind it as much. I do think she needs more recognition for her own career, but that will come with time, especially with Le Soldat Rose, a new album, a new film called Le Clé...
