Johnny's spokesperson has said that Lily-Rose is getting better, so that's really great news. As to what was wrong, there has been mentioning of blood poisoning. All comes from various sources, you can keep up with it all at www.VanessaParadis.info/Talk in the News section.

It seems Bruno Press have paparazzi photos of Lily-Rose leaving the hospital. As much as I like seeing the children (in a guilty, I know I shouldn't look but I'm curious, kind of way) at this time it makes me sick.

Depp & Paradis's Daughter Is On Mend

Depp's daughter is on the mend

March 09, 2007

HOLLYWOOD superstar JOHNNY DEPP's sick daughter LILY-ROSE has left hospital after nine days.
The seven-year-old is “doing much better” and has been taken back to the London hotel where Depp, 43, and long-term love VANESSA PARADIS, 34, are staying.
An onlooker said: “Johnny carefully lifted her from the car, held her close and carried her in. He looked ill with worry.”
Depp, who is making a film version of the musical Sweeney Todd, left the set at Pinewood in Buckinghamshire after Lily-Rose fell ill.
Film-maker Dreamworks said they had “adjusted the schedule to accommodate his needs”.
A film source added: “He’s on leave until she recovers.”
It is understood the delays could cost £2million.
Depp collected Lily-Rose on Wednesday, but she will have to return to the London hospital for treatment.
His publicist Robin Baum said last night Lily-Rose was “doing much better”.
Depp, who often takes her and son Jack, four, on location, said: “I just want to watch my children grow up and make sure they’re healthy and happy.”

This is such a releaf that Lily Rose has finally left the hospital and that she's slowy recovering. (even though it seems that she'll have to go back to the hospital for extra treatment).

I don't think it's very uncommon that she needs to go back - if you are in the hospital if only for one day for some small thing you usually have to go back to extra treatment, check-ups etc. Let's just hope that she stays stable and recovering, though I don't think they would've permitted her to leave if it wasn't 100% sure there is no danger of complications. I hope all the best for her, and I hope she will recover from it all

But I wonder what it was/is... I heard the tale about the blood poisoning from a rusty tack (and bad parenting), but apparently that was only something created by InTouch and picked up by all the other tabloids, with no truth. I read Depp's publicist has said that the story about the rusty tack is "completely false". I want to know what disease it is/was, and that she truly is getting better and there's no risk anymore... I hope the publicist will release a complete statement, if possible.

Johnny quits film for sick Lily-Rose

Johnny 'quits film for sick girl'

March 13, 2007

MOVIE hunk JOHNNY DEPP has vowed not to return to acting until his daughter is fully recovered.
Filming on new movie Sweeney Todd has been put on hold since Lily-Rose, seven, was admitted to a London hospital two weeks ago.
Staff at Pinewood Studios, Bucks, have now been told they will be laid off at the weekend unless Depp, 43, returns.
A film source said: “He does not want to come back until Lily-Rose gets the all-clear. The plan is to re-employ everybody when she is better.”

I know there was one of Johnny holding her all wrapped up. I think it was from Sammie's journal. Not sure.

Icon4 Lily-Rose had E.coli

E.coli nearly killed Depp's daughter as kidneys shut down

23rd March 2007

Johnny Depp's seven-year-old daughter nearly died when her kidneys shut down after she suffered E.coli food poisoning, it was revealed today. Lily-Rose is recovering after spending nine days critically ill in an unnamed London hospital where her condition was said to be "touch and go".

Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis: The couple's daughter is lucky to be alive after succumbing a life-threatening e-coli bug which shut down her kidneys
The Pirates Of The Caribbean star and his partner, 34-year-old Vanessa Paradis, kept a vigil at their daughter's hospital bedside earlier this month.
Depp, 43, refused to return to the set of his latest film, Sweeney Todd, until she was out of danger, forcing filming to be stopped.
E.coli food poisoning is commonly caused by improperly cooked meat, unpasteurised milk or water contamination. It is a bacteria which normally lives inside the intestines where it helps break down and digest food.
But certain strains can get into the blood causing a rare but very serious infection.
Staff on the Warner Bros set at Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, were told the illness caused Lily-Rose's kidneys to shut down and she was lucky to survive.
An insider said: "Everyone gasped when we were given the real reason for her illness. It was touch and go for a while."
Occurrences of E.coli have increased in recent years, with up to 1,000 people contracting the disease in the UK each year.
It is particularly serious in vulnerable people such as the elderly or children under the age of five, with long-term effects which can include kidney damage, paralysis or blindness. The mortality rate among the elderly is 50 per cent.
Doctors do not prescribe antibiotics and commonly allow the illness to run its cause, which usually lasts about a week.
Depp has starred in Hollywood blockbusters, including the Pirates Of The Caribbean trilogy, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Sleepy Hollow and Edward Scissorhands, while his partner Ms Paradis is an actress and singer.
The couple also have a four-year-old son Jack Christopher Depp has spoken in the past of the effect being a father has had on his life.
"I just want to watch my kids grow up and make sure they're healthy and happy," he said. "They are the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I never thought it was possible to feel such profound, deep love.
"Being a dad has given me great strength, great perspective, great calm. More than anything - I love being with my family." Filming of Sweeney Todd, which co-stars Alan Rickman, Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen, will resume on Monday, said the producers Warner Bros.
