What I think ruins the look is her deer-in-headlights expression. It's almost every shot. You knew they were going to take your picture, relax.
I don't mind the look, it's very tim burton-ish and she was made for his films. I think it's weird to wear a bridal gown to anything that isn't your wedding, but it's hollywood, anything bloody well goes.

I think this may be a consequence of her contact lenses, I notice this happens a lot with people who wear them and have direct light (flashes) in their faces... they can't really help it.

^ Yes the incident incident - Marc Jacobs clothes were involved. Now I've read that after that happened he actually signed her for a campaign! I didn't know that :P

^Marc Jacobs was one of the few people who consistently stood by her through the whole ordeal. They have stayed friends throughout so this is nothing new that they did this photoshoot together. SHe even wore his clothes to the trial.

Yeah, there hasn't been any bad blood between them. I'm sure he understood what she was going through. He styled her at the Costume Institute Gala in 2009 and 2007, and she has worn Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton countless times.
