I always wondered myself why people referred to her as brunette since her hair always looked black to me, but in close up pictures it looks brown, probably around the same shade as me.

Her hair is probably much like mine. It's darker in the winter months, and then the sun naturally lightens it to a browner shade in the summer!

My hair's a really, really deep shade of brown, but most people figure it's just black. Personally, I've never thought anyone's natural hair color could ever be a pure shade of black unless it was dyed. So for the most part, us dark-haired girls just call ourselves brunettes.
