36. GasLand (Josh Fox, 2010) - Documentary about environmental impacts of fracking
37. The Letter (William Wyler, 1940) - Bette Davis thriller
38. The Silent Star (Kurt Maetzig, 1960) - East German atomic-age sci-fi. Cool effects.
39. Inside Job (Charles Ferguson, 2010) - Instructive look at the recent financial crisis. Beautiful aerial photography.
40. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Mike Nichols, 1966) - Its many accolades are well-deserved. I do get a tad claustrophobic watching plays adapted for film.
41. Fists in the Pocket (Marco Bellocchio, 1965) - Intense, worthwhile Criterion. Can't beat Morricone's early scores
42. Dog Day Afternoon (Sidney Lumet, 1975) - It's fun to see Pacino before he turned into a cartoon
43. Contact (Robert Zemeckis, 1997) - Jodie Foster in a promising "hard" sci-fi. Flawed but interesting.
44. Tyson (James Toback, 2008) - The boxer reflects on his tumultuous life
45. Paths of Glory (Stanley Kubrick, 1957) - His first truly great film!

Thanks MulletProof for reminding me I hadn't seen "ņ Deriva" yet!

09. Play It Again, Sam
10. Hannah and Her sisters (no wonder some consider it one of Woody Allen's best movies )
11. A Mķsica Segundo Tom Jobim
12. J. Edgar
13. Margin Call
14. Drive (I felt so sorry for an old lady that went to see it alone and sat close to me and probably had no idea what she was doing there )
15. Crazy, Stupid, Love
16. Jules et Jim (re-watch)
17. (Kubrick's) Lolita (re-watch after I finish re-reading )

I'm so slow that I won't even add more movies before I see these!

I DL my movies too. Right now I have over 20 on my computer waiting to be watched. Also, youtube is a good place to find movies. NOTE: ignore the 'movie' tab on youtube as that is controlled by Crackle--and they are a site that wants you to pay to DL movies. (The "free" crackle stop playing about 45 minutes in.)

But if you type the name of the movie you want to watch via the search button you can usually find it (especially lots of Old Hollywood and silent films). (And if you have a video downloader, you can generally DL the movies straight from youtube.)

Did you see Melancholia, Ana? her depression vaguely reminded me of Kirsten's in that movie, there's a point where you feel like 'alright, GET UP! *slaps*' because it's so frustrating.. I hated how she's with her children and Vincent (seriously, who cheats on a Portuguese-speaking Vincent Cassel? ) but I think she nailed it, because depression certainly doesn't bring the best of us.. you feel sad for her but also detest her at moments.

Something about her acting reminds me of Fanny Ardant.

I haven't seen Melancholia yet!
What I didn't like wasn't exactly the character, but the way Debora played it, subtle things about her expressions, her ways, that bothered me. She (like most of Brazilian actors) is a soap opera actress, and I found her acting a little too soap opera for cinema. (Now Vincent speaking Portuguese... or any other language... )

I'll add just one more to my list (will probably see it tomorrow):
20. Revolutionary Road
