^I was a bit surprised how much I enjoyed 2 Days In Paris to be honest. I don't know why, I didn't think I was going to like it as much as I did. It was so funny and literally had my mom, friend, and I in stitches of laughter throughout the whole film. And female character's family is hilarious. And even though it's really funny it also has a meaningful storyline too. So I'd definitely recommend it.
I'm about a half hour in now and I'm kicking myself for not watching it when it came out. I'm really enjoying it. I always love comedies like these.
Ever since I watched that I'm constantly tempted to vandalise the cars of people that just park wherever the hell they want, blocking the entrance to my street for example!
And after watching The Edukators, I want to break into houses as well and re-arrange their furniture.

1. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo | The best movie released in the last years in my opinion, I admit I wasn't a big fan of Rooney before, but she really nailed it, plus the soundtrack is great as well, Trent did a great job [even including Enya ]
2. Into the Wild | I had always heard tons about it, so I finally decided to see it. I certainly don't regret it, it's one of the best movies I've seen the last years, really worth-wacthing it.
3. Trainspotting | Same with above, I mean how could I not love Ewan
4. Scarface | Finally decided to watch it, it's a bit long, but I'd recommend it.
5. Un Cuento Chino | Beautiful Argentinian movie, Ricardo is great again!
6. Donnie Darko | Probably my favorite movie with Jake Gyllenhaal.
7. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows | Quite amusing!
8. Annie Hall | Loved it!
9. Control | It's a good one for Joy Division fans, I think it might not interest those who don't like the band, it's nice to know where all his dark, depressive inspiration to his lyrics come from.
10. A Clockwork Orange | Re-watched it since it had been a long time since I last saw it, I think it's not necessary to talk about it.
11. Vicky Cristina Barcelona | Saw it twice this year, Penélope Cruz is amazing in it, probably my favorite 'light' movie of the year.
12. The Shawshank Redemption (as mentioned before)
13. Sleeper | Totally crazy but quite original and funny, it's interesting how people back in 1973 imagined the future...Not my favorite Woody Allen movie though.
14. The Virgin Suicides | Nice, but it didn't amaze me...I liked it a lot though, the movie is somehow very sunny and bright, despite its sad and melancholic story. I wish it could have gone deeper into the girls' life, but I guess that's how Sophia Coppola's movie works?
15. Manhattam | Honestly I didn't like it...I found it, dare I say, dull. I even fell asleep for a bit, it's not even the fact it's a black and white movie, but the story isn't captivating. I usually like Woody Allen's views on relationships, but this one didn't add anything interesting. It didn't surprise me to read Woody himself didn't like it.
16. Midnight in Paris | I think this is probably the last Woody Allen film I watch this year, after all this marathon , I really enjoyed this one though! I usually don't like Owen Wilson, everytime I look at his face, I think of someone naïve and silly, but he somehow fitted very well in his character (the opposite happened to Rachel McAdam, she is just icky in this), and the rest of the cast is impressive. His insight into the past is quite interesting, I'd recommend this one!
(shame on me, I haven't posted anything since February )
17. Mississippi Burning | Intense movie, William & Jack are great in it, but not the kind of movie I would watch again.
18. La Belle Personne | Léa's too pretty to handle, seriously...And Louis Garrel is like a French and improved version of Robert Pattinson (am I the only one who thinks they look alike? ). Nice view on love.
19. Memories | 3-story anime from Japan. Nice but kind of tiring.
20. Submarine | Probably one of my favorite movies this year The story + the soundtrack + the characters are irresistible.

I disagree, you don't have to be a Joy Division to love this film. To me it's a beautiful portrait of a human being, if it was a fiction and not a biopic, it would be as much beautiful, maybe just a bit less powerful. The cinematography of this film is perfect.
46. Alien [***] 47. Marathon Man [***] 48. The Private Lives of Pippa Lee [**] 49. Perfect Sense [**]
None of these films truly satisfied me.
50. Shinobi: Heart Under Blade [****] = Sort of like House of the Flying Daggers but japanese. Too focused on destiny, that was my main problem with it. 51. Flowers of War [*****] = Too beautiful! One of my favorites of this year till now! 52. Men in Black III [***] = More of the same but still a a good mindnumbing dumb fun! I mean the explanation behind the time traveling made no sense to me. Not in a good smart way, you know. 53. Pizza My Heart [**] = My mind turned into a butt.... 54. Snow White and the Huntsman [***] = Great visuals, girls kick some ***, sort of like Lord of the Rings for girls but very predictable and mediocre. Not that I liked LOTR anyways...
