This is a big WTF.

1) Why have the SAGs been announced before the GLOBES. It's always the Globes first then the SAGs. Know your place SAG people.

2) Best Actor - WTF. Where is GARY OLDMAN, Michael Fassbender, Ryan Gosling (people are also wondering about Michael Shannon). I'm so sick of Brad, George and Leo getting everything. Just get off it.

And I'm a bit annoyed about no Kirsten Dunst.

I can't even think about the TV nons yet. I'm so PO'd about Best Actor.

I'm already sick of this whole awards season, due to the Clooney slobbering lovefest. It seems that the Hollywood establishment is pushing for him to walk away with an Oscar. The man has zero range.

Agreed. Especially for Best Actor.

Also -in the TV category- where is Jim Parsons. He should win every award on this planet.

I am happy for Viola, but why wasn't Amy Poehler nominated for Parks & Rec?

I can't wait but I really think it's going to come down to Michelle or Meryl! They're both really seeming to stand out with the critics lately!

^I think I said this in the Awards thread, so apolgies for repeating myself, but the contacts I have said Shame didn't screen well with Academy members. Neither did Drive or Tinker, Tailor (Tom Hardy actually seemed to come out of that the most intact). While everyone seemed to agree that this wasn't the fault of Fassbender/Gosling or Oldman it will have severly damaged their chances. Of course the GG have more categories, therefor opening up more spaces but we'll have to see about that in a few hours.

do you know what's the reason behind it? Shame and Drive are very "european" made, IMO. could that be the reason?
