My thoughts:
- Downton Abbey really ruined the Drama category. I really didn't like the second series. So bad. I do like Michelle Dockery's nomination, however. And Joanne Froggatt's!
- Happy to see Connie Britton again
- Nick Offerman snubbed yet again
- They seem to love really generic comedies (but there are also some really great comedies there). It's Always Sunny..., Community, Parks are nowhere to be seen in the Comedy Series category. At least Veep was nominated!
- Louis C.K.!
- Homeland! Poor Mandy Patinkin, though.
- Anna Gunn! Anyone from Breaking Bad!
- Vincent Kartheiser and Joel Kinnaman were snubbed.
- Go Julianne Moore, Woody Harrelson and Sarah Paulson!
- Merritt Wever. Such an inspired nomination!

Add Happy Endings to that. I can't believe that sh*tshow Big Bang Theory with its awful laugh track gets nominated and these other great shows are left out. Jim Parson is good but that's about it.

This scene alone made me laugh more than any episode episode ever of BBT

And not to mention the Modern Family cast hogging the best sup actor comedy nominations. Apparently all you have to do is to be an adult regular on that show to get in (I'm especially rolling my eyes at veteran Ed O'neil). What about Danny Pudi? Or Damon Wayans Jr? Or anyone from It's Always Sunny? Though I'm used to It's always sunny being shunned even though it's one of the most consistently good comedies out there.

Also wished Eliza Coupe could get in for Happy Endings, she is hilarious as Jane. And I'm still raging at my queen Kaitlin Olson not getting recognized. She is easily one of the funniest ladies on television.

I love seeing there Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, Mad Men and Breaking Bad getting a lot of nominations but where is House MD? I though they'd leave with a bang

^ I love her! But on the upside I'm happy to see some 30 Rock nominations. Really happy for Game of Thrones, Shameless & American Horror Story. I do not watch much tv but from previews/commercials alone I'm surprised by some of the noms.

Walking dead, was SO SNUBBED. Definetly should have been nominated for more instead of "Best makup" "Best visual effects" ect.

But all the other noms seem pretty good

So happy for Breaking Bad!
Especially seeing Mark Margolis being nominated for a role in which he did not speak at all
I hope Aaron Paul wins best supporting actor. He is so young but he has grown so much

lovekatfashion,i feel your pain. walking dead was superb this last season. totally ignored.

also a bit annoyed that web therapy didn't get nominated for anything in the main categories....not even in the guest star category. i mean, lily tomlin as her mother....funniest sequences i saw last year.

happy more than anything for merrit weaver, though. she is so funny on nurse jackie.

Aaron Paul must win again for Breaking Bad.......brilliant character, superb actor.
Would also like to see Archie Panjabi win again for The Good Wife.
Thought Cheryl Hines might a get a look-in for comedy best supporting actress for Suburgatory....and loving Krysten Ritter in Don't trust the B**** in Apt 23.
I think some of the newer comedies might get some attention next year.

Super excited for Downton Abbey! I'm also rooting for Benedict and Idris (as long as one of them wins, I'm good with it), Boardwalk Empire, Dinklage, and Luther. Scandal was snubbed though, and although GoT is an ensemble, Dillane deserved some love as well as Dinklage.

I haven't been watching much television this year (I'm a movie addict), but I'm really glad to see all the nominations for Game Change. I watched that a few days ago and everything was just spot on.

Scandal was renewed, not cancelled. I've never read anything about it being cancelled, only renewed.

From Wikipedia:
The program was renewed for a second season on May 11, 2012, in the same Thursday timeslot, while Private Practice remains in the new Tuesday evening timeslot to finish its final season[13]. Rhimes has stated that the second season will likely be thirteen episodes or less.[14][15]

He was talking about Missing being cancelled. He asked about Scandal and then made a comment about Missing getting a nomination for lead actress despite being cancelled.
