The Devil Wears Prada

Sex and the City stylist Patricia Field is working on fashion's biggest movie for 2006.

The Devil Wears Prada is based on the novel by Lauren Weisberger which stayed on the New York Times bestseller list for six months.

The movie stars Meryl Streep as the demanding editor of fictional fashion bible 'Runway' and Anne Hathaway has her long suffering PA.

The character of Miranda is rumoured to be based on US Vogue's influential editor Anna Wintour. Weisberger actually worked as a PA for Wintour for one year.

Field is busy scouting around for the best designer outfits. She told Grazia magazine:" Meryl's wearing a mix of Chanel, with a sprinkling of Vivienne Westwood, Alexander Mc Queen and Roland Mouret."
