ya but nothing about if they are going to get back together
True that.

Would you have ended the show's seven-season run differently? While we weren't biting our nails over whether Luke's tucked-away necklace would find its way onto Lorelai's neck (of course it would!), it was satisfying to see some of the storylines tied up, with the world still wide open for newly minted online reporter Miss Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel). And while the town farewell to Rory was picture perfect, the best part may have been seeing the mother and daughter sitting at their usual table at the diner at 5 in the morning, framed in the window, bantering as if it was the day we first laid eyes on them. So what did you think? Did it end the way it should have? people.com
Thanks! I always thought that since MYOB didn't success, they changed the storyline to GG. Apparently not!
I must be the minority here...I actually thought the finale was nice, especially the scenes when Lorelai told Rory that she's not ready to get sad and when she checked on sleeping Rory.
It's all over
The episode was alright.. I loved some of the parts, but I wanted more POW for the series finale. It has been 7 years after all.
A perfect ending in my own little world would be if Logan showed up (with guacamole) to apologize and tell Rory that he can't live without her.. that he'd do the long distance thing blahblah. Or, in the part where Luke and Lorelai kissed, the whole town would look over and then Kirk would put on "I Will Always Love You," and Luke would give her the necklace and they would be dancing to the song.
But the episode was shot before they knew it was the finale.

That's hilarious!
And I am sooo with you on the Logan comment. What a lame exit for a character!
End of an era. oh well. *sniff*. Not the best finale one could've hoped for, but it had it's moments. I'm gonna miss Michel and Kirk. You'd think they could've thrown in at least one more night terror, just for good measure. I'm glad Rory ended it with Logan. They weren't right for each other.
You know the conversation at the diner was mirroring the conversation they had in the Pilot talking about nothing and laughing.
I thought that was beautiful....
I can't believe its over. It's an end of an era!

I thought that too... I was like "JESS! Pop out of the woods! Come out now".
Didn't happen.
^ I read somewhere that GG uberfans are hypothesizing that Rory and Jess will reconnect at Luke and Lorelai's future wedding and ultimately end up together, both of them writers and running a publishing house in their fantasy Stars Hollow dream world. lol It's a bit of a stretch but hey, a girl can dream.
I have this sense that the characters are all off in their little parallel fictional world, living their quirky lives, because not everything was tied up. So the more I think it over, the better I am with the last episode.

me too... on of my friends and I plan to move to Stars Hollow but then she said... it won't be as fun without Rory
I cried a few times during this episode... when Rory said she landed her job, the scene with Lane and Rory at Lane's house, when Lorelia said it was too soo when Luke was sewing (even though I was/am a Lor/Chris fan), when we saw the whole town surprise them, when Richard said sorry, when Lorelai said she's still go to Friday night dinners, when Emily said it was a honour to be Rory's grandmother... and finally when Rory said Lorelai had given her enough... I actually didn't think I cried as much as I did... it's the end of an era (which reminds me of Friends )
*end rant*
