They originally slept together in the books no?
And it was quite obvious something happened between them.

Not that I remember..
I could be wrong, though.
I don't think they even broke up in the books.

As I said, correct me if I'm wrong.

Well I don't know why I'm referring to the books when it's clear that gossip girl is taking a huge turn from it

I mean, it's good that they're branching off a bit from the books but at the same time.. it irritates me. Maybe they should try to touch on more serious issues, like Blair's eating disorder instead of glossing over it for convenience' sake in a Thanksgiving plot.

I'm still hooked. :]

I agree. I didn't like "The OC" at all, but I love "Gossip Girl"! I'm an East Coast girl myself, maybe that's why!

I'm not sure about Serena and Carter. He says something about the pain from the fight not being as bad as waking up and finding her gone (on a boat was it?). She responds with "That night wasn't exactly what I signed up for..." I interpreted it as another of those awkward drunken evenings and that she rejected his advances. He was surprised that Serena's Grandmother called him after all that had happened.

I do think it's amazing that a Grandmother would want her darling Grandaughter with a reckless jerk just because his family has money! And does anyone else think it's odd that Nate, Chuck and Blair all appear to be only children? What happened to the "heir and a spare" idea?

Ed Westwick (Chuck) fascinates me a bit. Anyone have any links to any video interviews? I've never heard his normal English accent. I have to say that he does a great job. I can think of lots of A-list big time actors who cannot pull of an American accent and vice versa.

Oh, and I never read the books. I'm tempted to start - but I'm thinking that it might be a bad idea at this point. Opinions?

Oh my god, I love his voice. It's so different from Chuck on the show; he does a great job.
