Oooh, I can write in black again!

One thing I thought was funny is that the only thing Serena put in the snow room was a bed! Yeah, pretty obvious - sex for Christmas! Like Vanessa was going to feel comfortable waiting around? And wasn't it at Rufus's gallery? He must have been in on some of it?

And wouldn't your bf of a million years (who you just had sex with for the first time) TELL you he was leaving the country for Christmas? Sure Nate's family is a mess and it was probably last minute, but wouldn't even Nate know that he should make a quick call or text to his girl?

Nate only seems to want Blair when he can't have her...even at the dance when they weren't together and that guy was dancing with her, he called her his girlfriend. He think he owns her...it's annoying.

I think they are going to put him with Jenny though...Chuck and Blair will end up wrapped up in something...

Oh you should try and watch it sometime! It was just on as Christmas television there and the similarity struck me. It's a great film but marred by the way in which black people are portrayed - the backdrop is the American Civil War and it is set in Georgia I think. The stereotyping at various stages will make you cringe.

I think the two characters are very similar in that they both are perfect looking, pretty and poised, can give cold and icy looks with the ability to also express (clearly I have nothing much to occupy my brain today

..) vulnerability in their deliveries. Scarlett also is quite taken with this rogue called Rhett in spite of herself. She can be heartless, cold and determined to get what she wants but has a real human side. They are both also quite uptight, upperclass (although Scarlett falls on hard times), etc. Hah I really think Blair's character is so similar! Either that or I am just a little obsessed with Gossip Girl at the moment and everything is reminding me of it

Well Vivien Leigh is obviously an icon - it's fair to say she's prettier but I wasn't really making a serious comment on their status and looks. I just thought that Leighton Meester might have watched the film at some point!

Kind of random, but my mom invited a 91 year old man named Penn who has no family over to our house for Christmas dinner last night. His name is Penn, and after drinking a few glasses of wine, I tried to tell him that I think his name is really cool and that there is an actor on GG with the same name. He was like, "Gossip, what?"
