Weeelll I watched it. I've read only book 1. And I was very disappointed, as I'm sure many of you here are also. I think Nate and Chuck and the other guy are way too ugly, and Serena isn't even that beautiful. But you know what? The show does it for me. I have nothing better to do on Wednesday nights so I'll watch it just for the sake of it.

I'm viewing the show as a different entity from the books. Obviously they just got the general gist from the books and are doing their own thing which I don't mind at all. There are some things which I prefer - it's nice seeing other races in teen shows - and the Asian girl isn't the prerequisite school geek or something like that! I don't think it can be too dependent on the books either because then we all would know what would happen in too much detail, which will kill the suspense in watching the show.
The song that was played in the limo on the way to Kiss on the Lips was Albert Hammond Jnr's "Hard to live (in the city)". Are there any websites out there which list what they were wearing? I love Blair's lace mini dress (the one which was her "mum's" design) and Serena's bag. |
