I really like the books but I am not too sure about this. I think a movie would have been better.

The dud playing Dan is too "pretty". I think Dan as the more scruffy type but maby they can do him over adn fix that?

^^ Those behind the scenes pictures are of Taylor Momsen who plays Jenny... I thought in the book, she had brown hair even though books and tv usually are completely different. I just thought I'd point that out.
They were about to make a movie... and they didn't. I wonder why...

The only member of the cast so far that I am really doubting is Penn Badgley as Dan. Dan is not supposed to be good looking- at least not in a sort of traditional way. And while Penn can look "deep" and "moody"... hes just too hot. But then again, it is Hollywood...

Jenny was definitely brunette, & i always imagined Serena too look Julia Stegner-ish? but that is a great promo pic! i hope it shows in Australia.

^I hope its comes out in Australia too. Although Im sure it wouldnt be as good as the books.
I know the books arent exactly a heavy or serious read, but I do love them. I find them really funny and witty. The parts I like the best are often Blairs narration and outlook on certain senarios. I think the cleverness and humor would be lost on tv.
