Why oh why? the videos are extracts from the first book. So i think they kept some things, not just the characters.

^ Agreed. Serena is my biggest problem so far. In the book she is such a breathtaking, stop traffic kind of beauty. So far she is looking really average. Even looks aside, already I dont feel like she hasnt taken on any attributes of Serena's personality and characteristics. Guess its still very early days.

^ I know. She's supposed to be this stunning girl who owns the room without even trying. The clip where she's in school the day after, she looks like a loser, like a wannabe, FAR FROM, SO FAR FROM the queen bee without trying. Blair, Katy, Isabele and Jenny are more beautiful than her.
I know that Josh (the producer/writer) did the same with Brian (from the OC). The script says that he's GORGEOUS and obviously he wasn't but he (Josh) said that he (actor who played Brian) suited the role perfectly. But here (Gossip Girl) it was extremely important for Serena to be stunning (even if Blake will do a fantastic job, she's not stunning and that's almost everything about Serena).
