Well, the last movie I saw was "Paranormal activity: the ghost dimension". I'll say it again: I hate the found footage. Unoriginal, uninspired and not so scary movie.

It is a very good film, but just short of all the praise to high heavens it’s been getting.

Attah is impressive. Fukunaga’s decision, and Attah’s portrayal of Agu as a rather pesty, bratty and even rather unsympathetic child is at once it’s weakness and it’s strength to me. I’m glad he’s not given into the perfectly likeable, adorable kid that’s had to fight for his life without harming anyone along the way trope. But, I also find it hard to like this kid that seems to alraedy have a mean streak about him to begin with— just the way he treats his out-of-it grandfather and him talking a pi*s on his brother showering in the beginning of the film, amongst other things, already establishes him as a sort of Denise the Menace type

Idris on the other hand— he’s deserving of all the praise, and more. Commanding, intimating. evil and tender, charismatic and repulsive. And on a purely superficial level, the man is damn sexy— even with that weirdly-cut hair and the brutish manner of speech.

I watched Inside Out for the first time on Tuesday, and then rewatched it last night. Wonderful movie, and I think it even got better for me on a second viewing. For a movie marketing to children/families, it's fairly high concept but I thought the simplification of those concepts to make it kid-friendly didn't "dumb down" the film at all and actually made it much more effective and more focused than it likely would be if this film was made primarily for adults. Sadness and Joy are both lovable characters, and fittingly enough, the film had the perfect balance of those two emotions. So good to be excited about Pixar again, since I haven't really loved one of their films, previous to this one, since 2008.

Love by Gaspar Noé

Must be one of the 3 or 5 people that cried with this movie and specifically with the most random scene. I guess he directed all the attention towards a predictable path with that poster but still, such a great movie... not being a fan of violence, this is my favorite by him, and oh my god I'm still so sad.

Spectre (Not as good as Skyfall, better than Quantum of Solace).
