Something Wicked This Fae Comes
season 2 epi 1
After the hit on The Ash and the elders, many of their under Fae pets have escaped. As Bo, Kenzi, and Hale go out hunting, they lament the fact that Dyson has been missing for weeks, not just because they could really use his help getting the wee monsters back in captivity. And when he finally does show up, he has no words for Bo. He's heartbroken at the very fact that he no longer feels any love for her, and can't bring himself to tell her.

She knows something's up, but they have bigger fish to fry: It seems a gang of Fae called the Sluagh, who are outcasts from both the Light and Dark clans, have taken the Ash's critical condition as an opportunity to claim all Light territories as their own. Bo and her team are tipped off to the plan when a Light Fae turns up dead - all of his skin pulled off of him. Before long, Lauren discovers the skin, discarded elsewhere, but the strangest part is that its bearer had a tattoo in the shape of a map tattooed inside his skin. This man was a Guardian, the kind of Faethat dedicates their lives to the protection of some great secret, so the map must have lead to something very dear, indeed.

Bo and Lauren share their research with Trick who reveals that the tattooed man, and his recently murdered counterpart - a Fae who sheathed a sword in his spine - were protecting the sacred pact The Ash had with the land. Centuries ago, The Ash made mystical love to the physical manifestation of the land on which the Light now live, creating a virtually unbreakable pact. But with the map to point the way and the sword to break the Heartstone, the seal of The Ash's pact with the land, the Sluagh may be able to take the spirit of the land by force. The only missing element is a flood of human sexual energy to give a supercharge to the power of the sacrament, such as would be felt at a pagan ritual.

Enter Kenzi. If anyone can find an underground, pagan rave, it's her. She ushers them all to the sweet spot, where Bo swiftly finds and incapacitates the leader of the Sluagh just before he's able to violate the spirit of the land. She's helped in no small part by Dyson, who finds the leader's henchman and knocks him out, keeping him from uttering the sacred incantation that seals the bond between land and lord. Before she leaves, she sees a small, quiet girl staring intently at her, and realizes she's seen this girl before.

Bo and her team have saved their land and their fates, but they realize that the Sluagh couldn't have done all this alone. The acting Ash, a man named Buzz, has been working with them in order to secure greater power for himself, and he remains a threat.

And Bo has yet more trouble in her path: After Dyson comes clean and tells her he can never love her again, the quiet girl from the rave returns with a warning. She says that something ancient has awoken and is coming for Bo, and when this mysterious force arrives, the damage will be earthshaking.

I Fought the Fae (and the Fae Won)
episode 2
Bo is taking the breakup with Dyson surprisingly well - she's viewing it as a chance to start over. Dyson agrees to talk about it, but when an emissary from the old country, an official named The Blackthorn, shows up to announce that a new Ash will be named in two days' time, the lovers' chat has to wait.

Bo is invited to the festivities, but she wants no part of them, since they involve the ritual hunting of a stag and a complicated political dance. She and Kenzi head home, only to find they have a visitor - a former prisoner who explains that she traded her prisoner status in order to be the stag, but she did it for love. Since Bo is unaffiliated, this Light Fae woman, Sabine, knew she could count on Bo to deliver a message to her former lover, a Dark Fae named Hamish. She asks Bo to help her see him one last time before she's hunted to death. Then, she returns herself to the hands of her captors.

Bo and Kenzi locate Hamish, but he insists he wants nothing to do with Sabine. If that's the case, reasons Bo, there's no choice but to rig the hunt so that Sabine has a chance to escape with her life. She enlists the help of Hale, Trick, and even Dyson to get the job done.

First, Hale enters himself as a candidate in the political race to be Ash. Through singing and seduction, Hale makes it into the final round - the stag hunt - but now comes the part where they have to stop the other contestants from shooting Sabine before she rings the mystical bell that will save her life.

She's within running distance of the bell when the final contestant appears and lodges an arrow in her shoulder. She falls to the ground, lifeless, as the crowning committee gathers around her and her murderer, a dark haired stranger who is now the new Ash. Once The Blackthorn and his party have left, Dyson calls the coast clear, and Lauren appears with a hypodermic needle full of serum that revives Sabine just in time to see Hamish appear from where he was hiding in plain sight, using his unique Fae power of invisibility. The two lovers are reunited, and since everyone believes that Sabine is dead, the Light and Dark pair can be undisturbed for the rest of their lives.

As for Bo and Dyson, their love story is not so happy. They finally get a chance to talk, but Dyson doesn't go in for any of Bo's charms. The Norn permanently took all of his love for her, and it seems he will never get it back.

Before returning home, The Blackthorn pays a visit to Trick and hints that he's aware of the true identity of The Blood King, as well as the return of Ifa. Trick denies everything as best he can. He responds that he's enjoying his quiet existence as a barkeep, and hopes that The Blackthorn will convey that information to the High Council. The Blackthorn assures that he will, but it's clear that he no longer doubts Trick's true identity as a major player. Where this knowledge will lead, however, no one yet knows.

Scream a Little Dream
episode 3
Bo is trying to clean Dyson out of her heart by cleaning her home, which makes Kenzi very unhappy. She heads to the Dal for beer and sympathy, where Trick introduces her to a Brownie - a cleaning Fae, whom Kenzi happily takes home.

Bo, meanwhile, heads to an apartment complex where all of the residents seem to have lost their minds, but Frank, a Light Fae working as the doorman, believes a Dark Fae is preying on his wards. Frank says The Ash refused to do anything, so Bo agrees to find out what she can. She helps Lauren investigate the building, and with Dyson out of the way, things get hotter between the two. Bo goes home for a well-deserved rest, but is woken in the middle of the night by a surprise visit from Dyson. He tells her he wants to be with her and wraps her in a sultry embrace, just before he reaches into her chest and pulls out her heart.

Kenzi hears Bo screaming in her sleep and comes running, only to find a black-robed woman riding Bo and torturing her. The woman turns into mist as soon as she sees Kenzi, but Bo feels as though the woman planted hooks in her mind. She goes to Lauren with this new information, and Lauren runs tests on Bo to see what kind of Mare - as in, nightmare - could be tormenting Bo and the human residents. As Lauren works, the new Ash bursts in and declares that Lauren is his property, and Bo must make a formal request if she wants to "borrow" Lauren.

Bo is furious, but since she hasn't slept for days in an attempt to keep the psychological horrors at bay, she needs the help of The Ash. He spurns her, and adds that no one named Frank came to see him. She's furious at being lied to, and dangerously tired, but she seeks vengeance on Frank. Kenzi has heard of a Fae called a Baku that eats bad dreams, and employs her Brownie to search for the elusive creature as his final task for her. But she may be too late, since Frank, truly a Dark Fae and Sandman, has put Bo into a very deep sleep so that his wife, the Nightmare, can feed on her - his whole reason for contacting her.

Bo manages to shake off the sleep and escape the Sandman's lair, but she feels herself pulled by an unknown force to the basement of Frank's building. She's still under the Sandman's spell, awake yet dreaming, as she sees her hand open a door, and behind it, she sees herself as an old woman, who sucks Bo's life force out of her. Just then, Kenzi arrives with the Baku, who is able to free Bo from that dream, but Bo must break the Mare's deeper psychic link on her own.

In Bo's mind, Dyson appears with the same offer of love as before, but this time, Bo stabs him in the side and walks away, freeing herself of the Mare, and possibly her attachment to a relationship that can never be.

Bo has one more job before she rests - to tell The Ash that a Dark Fae was feeding in his territory. When he counters with an offer that she freelance for the Light in exchange for protection without bondage, she tells him that she plays by her rules, and hers alone.

Mirror, Mirror
episode 4
Bo can't seem to get over Dyson, but he is having no trouble getting under a few cute waitresses. Bo puts on a brave face, and even declines Kenzi's playful offers to put a hex on the ex's wolf junk. But when the two attempt to drink away the pain, Kenzi's judgment gets soft and she invokes the wicked witch of her childhood nightmares: Baba Yaga. Old wives used to scare their children with tales of Baba Yaga, saying that she would abduct naughty girls to her house of bones, but help those who invoked her, if their feelings were passionate enough.

When Bo wakes up after their night of revelry, a nasty headache isn't the only pain she feels: she has a strange mark on her hip, which Trick identifies as the symbol of Baba Yaga. Kenzi is shocked that the witch actually exists, but when Dyson stumbles in, bearing the same mark as Bo and pursued by women who hate him, she needs no more convincing.

Kenzi regrets her actions and begs for Trick's help, but he tells her that Yaga lives in a realm unto herself, and he is unable to tread there. For once, Kenzi might have a resource that the Fae world doesn't: her auntie, Ludmila. Bo knew Kenzi wasn't tight with her family, but when she meets Aunty Mila, she learns that Kenzi's stepfather was a true nightmare. But enough about family – they have a curse to lift! After some succu-tastic persuasion, Ludmila performs the rite to contact Baba Yaga. The witch agrees to lift the curse, but her price is to haul Kenzi into her realm.

Bo panics, thinking that she might lose her best friend. In a desperate move, Bo asks The Ash to get her to Yaga's world – she even offers to freelance for The Light in return. Lachlyn accepts, and Dyson helps usher Bo through Yaga's portal by holding her under ice water until she passes out. The sadomasochism of their relationship continues, even after their relationship is over.

Bo lands in Yaga's house not a moment too soon – Yaga has just feasted on one of the girls she's been keeping in servitude for centuries, and Kenzi made the hit list by trying to escape. Bo's powers don't work under Yaga's sovereignty, and Kenzi only narrowly saves their lives by convincing Yaga that she can tame the unruly beast she keeps to guard an unknown treasure. She demands that Yaga fetch her various rare objects, and with the time she's bought, she unlocks the treasure chest to reveal a small mirror. It's the portal home, and Yaga's way of harvesting young girls.

Yaga is terrified that Kenzi has the mirror and agrees to let her and Bo go free, but Kenzi does her one better. She smashes the mirror on the ground and, handing the shards out to the imprisoned girls, tells them to look in it and think of home. Yaga's beast attacks his owner, giving Kenzi and Bo a chance to escape to their own world, but will Yaga forget a burn like this, or will she forever seek vengeance on the two of them?

BrotherFae of the Wolves
episode 5
Bo and Dyson are figuring out a way to be friends, and what are friends for if not to lend a hand by darting into Dark Fae territory to look for something called a Mongolian Death Worm? The request comes from an old friend of Dyson's, actually, a man named Cayden, who, centuries ago, was Dyson's comrade-in-arms. Cayden comes to tell Dyson that not only has the king they once served died, freeing Cayden from his service, but Queen Chiara, whom the king married after killing her husband, has committed suicide. Chiara was a dear friend, and the news saddens Dyson.

Bo agrees to find the worm, just to keep such a weapon from getting into the wrong hands, but Cumberbatch, the Dark Fae black market arms dealer she approaches, is a dead end. He senses Bo's ulterior motive and traps her, but Cayden comes to the rescue, not only getting her out of the warehouse alive, but helping her heal once they get back home. Bo's not worried about the hint of jealousy in Dyson's eyes - it's overshadowed by her concern for Lauren, who has been staying with them. She's on the lam from Lachlyn and his new policy that all humans must be locked in their quarters when not working.

Posing as well-to-do Dark Fae, Bo and her company attend an underground arms auction and outbid everyone on the Worm. The auctioneer demands the $155 million Bo bid for the worm, but when Dyson explains that they claim the weapon - actually a little old lady glued to her mini television - in the name of The Ash, the auctioneer grabs the television from the woman, thus activating her destructive powers. As long as he holds the TV, he's in charge of her, and just as he's about to direct the Worm to liquefy Bo, Dyson, and Hale with her fiery gaze, Cayden appears, snatches the TV, and kills the auctioneer. He is now in control of the worm, and in a moment, Dyson realizes that this whole escapade has been an attempt for Cayden to recover goods he originally stole. He takes the Worm and leaves the premises.

On a hunch, Bo suggests that they find Cumberbatch, and sure enough, there's Cayden. Infuriated that Cayden put everyone's lives at risk and betrayed his trust, Dyson lunges at Cayden, knocking the TV from his hands. Untethered, the worm blasts the Cumberbatch to bits as Dyson and Cayden continue to brawl and Bo locates the TV, neutralizing the worm once again. Cayden manages to escape, but Dyson easily tracks his blood trail to a van, where the man lies, panting for his life. A loud knock comes from the back of a van, and Bo opens the doors to see a bound woman whom Dyson identifies with a shout and a warm embrace as Chiara. Bo cuts through her ropes, but Cayden has gone missing again.

Dyson takes Chiara home, where her feelings for him overtake her, and the two fall into bed in a passionate embrace. Back at her own home, Bo lays blankets for herself on the couch, insisting that Lauren take the bed. Lauren will have none of it, and though the sexual tension between the two is palpable, Lauren is too shaken and shy to follow through.

It's Better to Burn Out Than Fae Away
episode 6
Bo's strangest client yet has just called, and she's the head of the Dark Fae. In The Morrigan's cold office, Bo learns volumes. The Morrigan poses in the human world as an agent, thus nourishing her nature as a leannan sidhe - a Fae who inspires artists while feeding off them, turning them mad - but she's fallen in love with one of her clients, a painter named Jason who has recently painted a picture of Vex killing that vampire so many months ago. Vex is demanding to know how his reputation was ruined, and since there seems to be a leak in the Dark camp, The Morrigan brings in the only person she can trust. Bo also meets The Morrigan's assistant, Bianca, who has the power to sway the human mind to her whims.

Bo is still heartsick over losing Dyson (especially considering Dyson's newfound domestic bliss with Chiara) and pining after the aloof Lauren, who is still hiding out with Bo and Kenzi, and her heart leads her to take the job. But Vex soon comes to visit, offering Bo a small fortune to bring Jason to him first, saying that The Morrigan is trying to ruin him because the Fae elders like him better. When Bo brings this news to The Morrigan, she convinces Bo to stay on the trail, promising the key to Lauren's release if she does. Bo agrees, but when she tells Lauren, she seems less than enthused...strange.

Bo and Kenzi soon learn that Jason has been bonkers all over town, and has painted a new picture of The Morrigan killing Vex. Something doesn't add up. Either Vex is controlling Jason in order to frame The Morrigan, or The Morrigan's parasitic brain waves are driving Jason mad. But then why would either of them let Jason paint pictures of them committing nefarious acts? All at once, Bo realizes that The Morrigan's persuasive assistant, Bianca, must've been behind this. They rush to Vex's lair just as a human dominatrix is drawing The Morrigan's knife on Vex.

They set the human free and return to The Morrigan's office. They corner Bianca, and she confesses, saying that she hates The Morrigan for stealing her talent and energy as a painter, and treating her like a mangy dog. She wanted to create a thing of beauty, so she enthralled Jason and tried to take vengeance on The Morrigan. This said, she drives a sword through her own belly and slumps to the floor.

After a visit from The Ash almost kills Kenzi, Lauren steps forward and ceases the violence. The Ash says that if she doesn't return to the compound, he'll pull the plug on her "special project." Lauren readily obeys.

Bo retrieves her payment for completing the case: A key which The Morrigan says will release Nadia. The strange name turns Bo's head, and The Morrigan explains that Nadia is Lauren's girlfriend. Who is Nadia, really? Why didn't Lauren tell Bo? And why did she leave, just as she was about to be set free? Bo is crushed, but as Lauren has already returned to The Ash's compound, her questions go unanswered.
