I can't resist participating again, but I think I'm going to pace myself this year. Hopefully I won't make it to 100 by April, like I did before.

Last year I also wanted to watch more Asian films, because that's one place where my film knowledge is severely lacking. I managed to see about 22 Asian films, so this year I'm going to aim for about 40.

And what the hell, I'd also like to focus on watching more European films that aren't French.

I'm in! I watched 64 movies last year and my goal for this year is 100 movies.

I'll aim for 100 as well! I used to watch about 1 or 2 movies a week, but recently I have been too lazy to see films, which I hope it will change this year.
My goal is to finish watching some movies I eventually started last year, and also some Italian and Spanish films.

Can we make the minimum require of challenge to 50 instead? It's very inconvenient for me to watch 100 movies as I don't watch movies on Internet...I have to buy DVDs instead.

A few of sub-challenges for me, through colors as a reminder:
- Visconti's filmography. (or any other director, although Visconti's feels like an overdue).
- At least 15 documentaries.
- Explore South American (mostly Uruguayan, Brazilian and Argentinian) cinema.
If you haven't seen "Esperando la Carroza", you should It's Argentina served on a plate.
And another that I rememberd to like is "100 veces no debo" (generally I hate argentinian movies.) I will try "El verso" which is supposed to be fair.

There's no minimum, you're the one who gets to decide your own goal. :p

Ah, many thanks for that .. my main problem is that I never know where to start or what to start with, I often end up watching too much contemporary stuff or classics in a context that's hard to make sense of. I hadn't thought of Argentinian comedy, or films during the Alfonsín years, which makes it extra intriguing, just for the mood of the country/arts in that decade.. still kind of obscure for me.

Might also try to finally take my time with Raymundo Gleyzer's documentaries.

Let's start, shall we?
I'm ill so all I've been doing these two days (and nights) was watching movies.

1. The Princess Diaries (2001)
2. The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004)
3. Wild Child (2008)
4. Princess Protection Program (TV 2009)
5. The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath! (1976)
6. The Irony of Fate 2 (2007)

Some of my Chrismas must watches. I just didn't have time to watch them on actual Christmas.

I would love to include more documentaries, I feel like that is one genre I lack. So I'm also going to challenge myself to include at least 10 documentaries.

My list:
1. Pitch Perfect (2012)
2. The Watch (2012)
3. Premium Rush (2012)

1. Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011)
2. Chronicle (2012)
