May 15, 2008 -- You'll notice some changes when the revamp of "Beverly Hills, 90210" premieres on The CW - it's been redubbed "90210" and sideburns aren't residency requirements.
And while "90210" will still focus on a transplanted Midwestern family - The Mills - producers are bringing a contemporary flavor to the show.
The Mills have an adopted African-American son, a teacher sleeps with his students and there's a gossip "guy" roaming the halls of West Beverly. Here's the new cast, clockwise, from top right: Ryan Eggold, AnneLynne McCord, Shenae Grimes, Jessica Stroup, Dustin Milligan, Michael Steger, Tristan Wilds and Lori Loughlin.

Report: Shannen Doherty Considering '90210' Return
July 2, 2008, 5:54 PM EST Zap2it.com
The folks behind the new "90210" are hoping to set up a reunion for the girls of West Beverly Hills High that includes Brenda Walsh.
According to an Entertainment Weekly report, it looks like Shannen Doherty is now thinking to reprise her role from the original "Beverly Hills, 90210" for the CW update premiering this fall.
Producers of the new "90210," Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah, have met with Doherty, who reportedly is interested, depending on the story and money offered.
Even of those issues are addressed, there are other concerns that make Doherty's participation tricky. Not only does she have a reputation for being difficult on set, but she famously had an angry tussle with Garth back in the day. It's difficult to speculate if any animosity would linger or if the two actresses' characters would even cross paths.
In the update, Garth as the grown up Kelly Taylor is now a guidance counselor at the high school, while Spelling's Donna Martin is the successful owner of a shop frequented by the WBHH students.

It's true, Shannen Doherty will be joining her fellow "Beverly Hills 90201" cast mates Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling on the new CW spin-off "90210." The actress will revisit the role of Brenda Walsh, her character from the original 1990 2000 series, who returns to West Beverly High as a drama teacher who is directing a high school musical.
"I was one when the show came out," Shenae Grimes, one of the show's lead actors, said. "But my mom raised me on it. I am very shellshocked every time I meet one of the old cast members. It's been quite a trip." The journey Grimes' character makes as she moves from Kansas to Beverly Hills mirrors the actresses' real life move from Canada, where she starred in "Degrassi: The Next Generation," to relocation in Los Angeles. "I didn't get recognized in Canada very often," she said. "If I did, nobody would approach me, let alone take my picture when I wasn't looking or anything like. Everything that's been going on has been a little overwhelming, to say the least."
But Grimes isn't the only actor making a big change in her life. Tristan Wilds, who played Michael Lee on the gritty HBO drama "The Wire," which was taped in the inner-city of Baltimore said, "It's been an easier transition than I thought it would be. The characters Dixon and Michael are somewhat alike. They both grew up in bad environments and they both had to grow up by themselves very quickly."
The show has other familiar television faces as well. Lori Laughlin, best known for her role on "Full House," plays Debbie Wilson, the show's matriarch. "I do remember how impactful it was," she said of the original series, which will focus more on the adult storylines than the original series did. And Jessica Walter, who starred as an alcoholic once-wealthy character on "Arrested Development," joins the cast as the once-famous eldest member of the Wilson brood. "Lucille liked vodka," Walters told critics of the similarities between the roles, "And Tabitha likes Scotch."
I disagree, i think Tristan Wilds is the hot guy in the cast, but i might be being biased
I really dont know which one he is, but now that i have seen more promos few look cute but i should wait and see the show first because some look way better in motion than pictures.
