Do do do...I saw it again tonight with my family.

^To the above question: maybe a new thread with a spoiler warning in the title should be created?

I know what you mean, i saw it yesterday and the effects were amazing (as was expected) and i loved the casting of Luna, they got that spot on.

The thing that made it a bit pointless is that all the other books have a purpose; to lead up to a battle at the end or further Harry's journey in the fight against voldomort but the reason for this book is to set it all up for the next book. When you think about it, what do you know at the end of OOTP that you didnt know at the end of GOF? you know the prophecy and Bellatrix Lestrange is introduced, and the whole "love" protection that harry has (although that was touched upon in the first book i think) apart from that, not much happens.

I'd say OOTP is a bit of a filler

^ we could just spoilerize them in white font but then ppl would have to be careful about quoting.

I don't mind that the fountain coming to life was left out, I always thought it was kinda silly.

I agree that there should be a new thread with "Spoilers" in the heading. People sometimes get excited and forget to post things in white, it's just easier to have a whole new thread where people know what they're getting themselves into.

Maybe we should have a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows thread for a month or so after the book release and then combine it with this thread after a bit of time. That way people can talk about the new book freely and others can come here who don't want to be spoiled...or I guess we could just hold off on reading this thread for a bit... might be easier.

Am seeing the movie tonight!

I actually left to go to the toilet in the middle of the movie, I've never done that before - I was extremely disappointed with it. And I didn't even read the book before watching it because I knew that I would be disappointed then. (the last time I read it was a year ago). And I agree with Nataliaa I think it seemed rushed. There were too much missing in the movie. For example one never got the feeling that Harry was angry.

No, I think he'll be an auror. (I kind of like the idea of him teaching at Hogwarts, though.)

I saw the new movie yesterday i really enjoyed it, except for some corny bits and daniel radcliffe's lack of range as an actor! and im a fan :/. The scenes with umbridge and the da made the movie well worth it

it made me even more excited for the book though!

I think he will be and auror too. It leaves the life of an adult Harry open for amazing adventures, and even though there will be no more books I am sure she will leave the end more of a life continues. His school days are over but he still has the rest of his life.
