And I've come to the conclusion the movies are much more enjoyable when we don't read the books two days earlier. I think that's partly why I have no script complains.

I've havent read it in a while but I barely recognize any of the book in the script. It seemed like they just improvised the lines though.

I can't wait until the 6th movie. (Getting a little ahead of myself, but oh well. )

Well, there was that part before Harry and Cho kissed, where Ginny walked out of the room, looking back at them sort of jealous-like

i think we just have to deal with the fact that the movies will never be as good as the books.

Some thoughts on the actors:
I agree about Emma Watson, she's so over the top all time
Rupert is just cool and completely captures the essence of Ron as always
Daniel annoys me to no end, it really bugs me that even after 4 years of acting in these movies he still acts as though hes never seen a broomstick before, the way he is totally gobsmacked by eveything even after years of living in hogwarts just drives me crazy. He hasnt developed the character at all since the first one

On another note i thought Helena Bonham Carter was really great as Bellatrix Lestrange, just how i imagined her to be, she pulls off psychotic really well........ lol

But once again i'm left feeling that Dumbledore guy is just NOT DUMBLEDORE. its like he hasnt even read one of the books to really understand the character inside out. He's so angry all the time and there is no serenity to him, no sense of complete control and tranquility that is present in the character from the book.

Ya I dont think the Ginny and Harry Romance will be rushed because there were definitely scenes where Ginny looked jealous or Harry looked at Ginny in a different way

Now that I've had time to think of the film I feel really angry. I know many people are saying it's the best but when you compare it to the book it was nothing. For example the key bits they missed out such as:

- Ron, Hermionie and Draco being made Prefect
- Dumbledores Army: just little things like Hermione bewitching the coins as a signal, and so they can communicate
- Quidditch! How could they not include that; even if they didnt want to show it, they had to at least include the 'Weasley is our king' song (the best!); it showed more of the growing relationship between Ron and Hermione
-In the Ministry, the different rooms for example the brain room (where Ron gets caught) and how it was confusing and wasnt as simple as falling through a shaft, and how Neville is on his own and has to defend himself so it was only he and Harry at the end up against the Death Eaters as the others were under spells
- How it was Choos friend who gave away the plan, with the boils on her face that revealed her
-In the room with Dumbledore after the battle when they talk of the Prophecy and it is stated that Neville is the other "boy who could have lived," but as Voldermort attacked Harry he is the one that will potentially defeat the Dark Lord.

Theres so much more but I can't think right now

For what everyone said about Dumbledore... so true! Michael Gambon is just so... not good for the role Sorry to say, no one can compete with Richard Harris. He was absolutely PERFECT for Dumbledore.

I seem to find that all the adult actors are perfect for their roles more so than the teens... except Rupert Grint hahaha he's so great. I still think Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson just... argh, their acting. It hurts me inside.

Also, I know not many people love Draco but having him be one of my favourite characters from the novels.... where is all the love? He has like one line per movie now, but he plays a big role in the next one. They're going to have to start using him!! And also, start slicking his hair back, what's up with the mushroom cut??

Richard Harris had this frailty that Gambon doesn't. Maybe it was because he was ill at that time or was simply acting (maybe a bit of both?) but it certainly worked for Dumbledore's character. Gambon's a good actor but he always portrays Dumbledore as being impatient and slightly volatile, which all know is certainly the opposite of Dumbledore's personality.

^ I've got similar aim.

And about the film... I liked it
Though there are things what I missed. But there were great scenes, when the Weasley twins left, when Sirius died.
Evanna Lynch was the perfect Luna, her slow movements and those eyes.
But Harry's and Cho's relationship was strange, I think Marietta had an important role

^^ The whole Cho-story was kind of dull, they changed her too much from the books. Didn't like that at all.

But I liked it. I cant dislike it.
Hey - its Harry Potter! Its hard to dislike it cause it invites you too the world you wish to been.

David Yates are going to direct HBP as well, I hope that one turns out much better...
