No mention of who will play the Gaunt's or Hepzibah Smith (cup & locket lady) but they must be in it if they have casted a teenage Tom Riddle. The Horcruxes are so important to this story so I hope they don't leave it out half of the info.

Nooooooooo If they leave too much out it will really ruin it for me

Bill & Fleur have to be in it... and so do Dobby and Kreacher! And no Fred and George?!?! They are important characters!!! They all have to be in it if they want to be able to do The Deathly Hallows correctly. >.<

I will be so disappointed if they don't do a good job.

1st Official photo from the Half Blood Prince

Credit: The Leaky Cauldron

The first picture of Half-Blood Prince has been released with a WB 2008 preview today. The picture of Dan Radcliffe as Harry Potter also features a glimpse at the Half-Blood Prince’s potions book, and a visual of the Marauder’s Map.

-----------------------------------

Very exciting but I think it's way too early to be getting pics. It's not coming out till November next year which is ages away.

The girl who is to play Lavender Brown is nothing like i imagined.
I always though Lavender was black and had black curly hair. i dont knwo where i got that from but ive always imagined her like that. i swear it described her like that in the book.

just watched order of the phoenix again, and i liked it so much better compared to when i saw it in the theater. i think its because the first time i had seen it i had just finished reading the book and then about 10 minutes later i saw the movie. definitely not going to read the book right before seeing the movie, makes such a difference

Same here. I was really insanely bored in the theater.. but when I watched it on DVD, it wasn't half bad.

The unwritten story of Harry’s friends and their children

Adam Sherwin, Media Correspondent

A family tree of Harry Potter, hand-written by J.K. Rowling, offers a tantalising glimpse into the future of the boy wizard and his pals. But the author promises that the future of her characters, their relationships and children will remain locked in her imagination, ruling out any sequels.
In an ITV1 documentary, to be screened at 7pm tomorrow, Ms Rowling says that despite completing the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, she cannot quite lay her famous creation to rest.
She felt compelled to map out the futures of the surviving members of the Weasley/Potter clan in a family tree. Readers will know that Harry and Ginny marry and have three children. Luna Lovegood, Harry’s dreamy friend, produces two children, with her naturalist husband, Rolf. Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour have three children, and George Weasley sires a daughter, and a son named Fred after his twin who died in the battle of Hogwarts. “I can’t help it,” the author says in JK Rowling . . . a Year in the Life. “It was like running a race and you get to the finishing line and you’re running too fast to stop, so I do know what happened afterwards and I couldn’t stop my imagination doing that.

“So I know this sounds an awful lot of detail to go into for your own satisfaction and not because you’re planning to write more books, but that’s just how it was. I couldn’t stop,” Ms Rowling said that writers always had to know more detail than was used in a book. “It gives me a certain satisfaction to say what I thought happened and to tell other people that, because I would like my version to be the official version.”
In the film, Ms Rowling runs through the Weasley children one by one and explains where she sees them in life now and pays particular attention to Luna Lovegood. The documentary also follows the author on a private jet with her husband, Neil, as they travel to the US for the final book tour.Ms Rowling makes an emotional return to the Edinburgh flat where she wrote the first book in the Harry Potter series.

Hey! I thought that too! In fact, I thought Lavender Brown was already cast..?! I swear she was black and had black curly hair as well! In the movie I'm sure she's portrayed like that, (there's no description of her in the book) I was under the impression that this was Lavender Brown ( picture from leakylounge.com);
(Jennifer Smith) and Jennifer is the one who was credited as Lavender Brown in POA, although she didn't have a speaking part.
I know that the girl casted Pansy Parkinson also changed.. but not as dramtically. this is all very confusing. There was also that part in the book when Ron and Lavender were snogging each other like crazy and Harry wasn't sure where each of them started and ended, so I'm assuming that their skin colours were pretty much the same?

I'm a completely crazy Harry Potter nut ( and proud of it!) , anybody a member of the more well known HP sites that got an award from Jo, such as the mugglenet and Immeritus?

ok Faith, you completely tricked me. I was going to say, well more react like this... I was getting really alarmed when I saw the sub-title "Hermione's sex tape" me: ok, when did People's magazine publish something like this?!

And the casting of Narcissa Black? Mm... I pictured her to be icy, the classical good looking, if not beautiful, she was described in GOF as tall, slim, blue-eyed blonde, and with "a look that suggested there was a nasty smell under her nose". p.g 92 Bloosmbury edition.
