Okay, I've been hanging around this board seeing if someone could figure it out, since I couldn't, but since no one did, I decided to check online for anwers.

Here is what I got from the HP lexicon site: "And which death is this? Who is left to murder for the plan to happen? Several more people do die, of course, including Barty Crouch Sr., but none of these deaths were really part of the initial plan. It is very likely that this bit of text is a relic of the rewrite Rowling did part way through writing this book. Perhaps in the earlier draft, Wormtail would have had to murder the teacher that Barty Crouch Jr. would impersonate. As it stands, there is no other murder in the plan, and this text is an error."

I think that is most probable because most of the deaths in Harry Potter were not planned by the murderer (example: Bellatrix killing Sirius in battle, Cedric getting killed because he wasn't SUPPOSED to be there anyways, etc.) The only planned death was Dumbledore but I don't think that Voldemort would have already formulated a plan for killing Dumbledore in Book 4 because his first priority is getting his old body back (though I'm sure killing Dumbledore would always be in the back of his mind). So I'll go with the Lexicon and assume it's an error.

Awesome investigative work, cookymonster!

That definitely makes sense because I can't think of a logical answer for anyone else Voldemort would've wanted to kill. But I wonder what the original plan was.

...I'm too curious.

From JKR's own site regarding book 7:

Sometimes writing goes so smoothly that you feel as though you are simply taking dictation from your muse. In my case, this often happens after a period where I am unable to write, such as over the Christmas period (compounded this year by the children's colds mentioned in the previous diary entry). It is as though all the ideas that ought to have leaked out in the usual intermittent fashion over the preceding couple of weeks explode out of my pen once I have a few hours in which to work. I am usually most productive when I have, or have recently had, limited time.

Of course, this heavenly state of affairs will not last, it never does. I'm bound to get all snarled up in a plot tangle, or else find myself temporarily stranded on the edge of a large hole in the story. Until then, however, I shall enjoy floating along on this flood of inspiration.

^ couldn't this inspiration last longer that way we'd have the book earlier :P

and dinahgrace thanks for those videos

I was wondering whether JK had left any clues throughout the books as to which are the missing horcruxes Maybe she's mentioned some Ravenclaw object somewhere or something..
